The question dodge in the final seconds is one of legend.

bttt

oh, this too:

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/energetically_wrong.html

Quote :
"Palin claims Alaska "produces nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy." That's not true.

Alaska did produce 14 percent of all the oil from U.S. wells last year, but that's a far cry from all the "energy" produced in the U.S.

Alaska's share of domestic energy production was 3.5 percent, according to the official figures kept by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

And if by "supply" Palin meant all the energy consumed in the U.S., and not just produced here, then Alaska's production accounted for only 2.4 percent."

Quote :
"“There Ohio was right out in front, right in front of me," Palin said. "The teleprompter got messed up, I couldn’t follow it, and I just decided I’d just talk to the people in front of me. It was Ohio.”

This struck many of us -- who, as she spoke, followed along with her prepared remarks, and noted how closely she stuck to the script -- as an unusual claim. (Especially those of my colleagues on the convention floor at the time, reading along on the prompter with her, noticing her excellent and disciplined delivery, how she punched words that were underlined and paused where it said "pause," noting that "nuclear" was spelled out for her phonetically.)
"

Maybe she's just a compulsive liar and can't help it? That's not her fault, she shouldn't be judged for a mental condition beyond her control.

^^ good fucking god. you guys will make up anything just to sound good, won't you? Did you read the rest of the post in that all-knowing blog? it pretty much says "hey, maybe she had the speech memorized before-hand." jeez, you people are seriously scary

then why'd she play it off like she just talked naturally, like it was off the cuff and natural. If it was just memorized then this statement

Quote :
""The teleprompter got messed up, I couldn’t follow it, and I just decided I’d just talk to the people in front of me. It was Ohio.”"

still doesn't seem valid.

All the media reports and the people from the McCain campaign even said the prompter did not fail.

I find her ability to lie about the dumbest and most easily refuted things to be laughable.

Too bad that women couldn't find a more respectable woman on which to pin their hopes. It always ends up hurting women more when an unqualified woman is boosted up then fails publicly.

I don't know a single woman who is pinning anything besides her disgust and disdain upon Sarah Palin.

i love these threads...its like if this is all you went off, you'd think the country was 50 blue states

or as obama would say, 60 blue states

lol i guess bush saying stragegery just sounds like a more believable gaffe than obamas

like bush really did think it was a word, where as obama was tired as fuck and he meant 47

so you dont think its more likely that bush's gaffe was more "real"? i definitely think its more plausible for bush to have really thought strategery was a word, rather than think obama to really think there are 57 states...it was the 47th out of 57 primary or caucus or whatever, which kinda makes some sense...but bush just kinda said "stragegery"

lol

he said something about already visiting 57 states in the continental US and that he had one to go

^yes which would imply he thought there were 60 states

if he had said 47, with 1 to go in the continental 48, that would leave alaska and hawaii as the 49th and 50th (or as obama thinks, the 59th and 60th)

he wasnt making a joke, he just slipped up

only big obama homers would try to say it was an intentional joke and not him simply misspeaking

OBAMA NEVER MISSPEAKS BY ACCIDENT, IT WAS CLEARLY A JOKE

^yes dnl, you finally agree with me that they were both unintentional slipups

obama meant to say 47, he said 57

bush meant to say strategy, he said strategery
