Having grown up on welfare, I can say that it is a stupid and broken system that has deviated from its original intent. I remember going from store brand cheese food to Deli Deluxe Kraft cheese and my mom just sitting around and getting drunk all the time, albeit on a one night stand's dime, not the government's.
