huh.... live Weekend Update on every Thursday, after The Office? (presumably until 30 Rock starts back up?)
well, Weekend Update has enough trouble filling 10 minutes once a week already, i can't imagine adding a mid-week segment can possibly lead to any good.

unless they turn it into the all Tina Fey, all the time Thursday Update

and yes, Kristin Wig is hot. but, uhhh.... Anne Hathaway is on this week. All eyes on her!

I recently re-watched The Joe Schmoe Show on DVD, a fake reality show (one guy thought it was real, everyone else was an actor) on Spike TV in 2003.
I watched it live the first time it aired, and didn't recognize any of the actors, which was the point or else it wouldn't have worked. But it turns out that was Kristin Wig's first big job! It was funny watching the show again and recognizing her.

between Anne Hathaway and The Killers, I actually watched SNL for the first time in years, and yeah that Palin impression is ridiculously good, when Palin was first announced as VP the first thing I thought was holy crap that looks like Tina Fey in 10-15 yrs....

yeah, it was pretty good. He couldn't really get the look down (not his fault, really), but he nailed the voice and speaking style

This episode was great.

There were some very unfunny parts, but it was mostly good.

she rose the roof

you mean you don't understand why someone campaigning would try to show themselves and try to appeal to potential voters?

neither has any other candidate that has ever been on SNL while campaigning (I think Al Gore is the exception when he actually hosted)

i actually didnt like this episode, the host didnt do much at all, wasnt very good.

the rap was good...that was about it. and will forte's speech wasnt bad.

other than that...nothing much in the funny land.

ill agree that i didnt like this episode that much

but Brolin was in just about every skit (even the macgruber's wasnt he?), so i dont see where you say the host didnt really do much

that isnt true, mccain had some monologue. obama was on a skit. he didnt do a ton but more than palin.

palin said live from new york and said she wasnt going to do something. i guess, as usual, the campaign didnt trust her to speak

one of the later skits was all Brolin and it was pretty weird

looking back at it I am laughing more than when I watched it, just thinking about those buttery browns and buttery yellows.

w/r/t Mad Men on SNL......
is it considered a parody if half of the cast on the skit are the actual cast of the real show?
