Boxer briefs are nice because they don't ride up and bunch at the back like boxers do. Boxers are nice because they provide a feeling of freedom (when they've not ridden up, anyway).

I own and wear both, but the pendulum is swinging in the direction of the boxer briefs currently.

Classic briefs for the gym only. They just work better for running and whatnot.

What is bothering me now about them, is that the legs of them ride up. When I sit or raise my my leg up, they roll or bunch back. Very annoying and uncomfortable. I avoid mine now for this reason. Even boxers are becoming a little restrictive if i'm doing much movement now.

boxers if i'm not doing much of anything or in cooler weather....

at work it's under armour 6" long boxer jock year round, amazing and worth their weight in gold.

I've also picked up some ExOfficio boxer briefs from REI, supposed to be hand washable and quick drying, great for traveling light. awesome as well, blows the under armour away.

I wear a kilt, because pants are too constrictive.
