Im not reading all of this, but if you want a refund there are measures you can take on half/ebay to get your money back. File a claim. Ebay has had really bad fraud problems in the past, but they have recently taken measures to make their image better. Negative feedback is more powerful now and you can remove it once you have gotten your refund.

don't remove the negative feedback from these folks

let your CC company get your money back and run these fuckers through the ringer

any seller who hopes you die doesn't deserve to be listed positively

First, as someone sugessted, get it on consumer reports or something with your local news.

Second, If that was verbatum said, thats a threat, and can be reported to the police.

Yea I know the police won't anything but you should report it to the police. If nothing else, you'll get a case number or something that you can throw around to paypal, news outlets, BBB, etc. Also if the police will do anything, they are going to call them and ask if it happened... make them sweat a little.

Just an update:

I got an e-mail today from the store owner, who looked through everything and I guess watched the video of how the manager went off on me and went through the emails - well the owner FIRED the manager and apologized to me and sent me a refund this afternoon - haha, I find this hilarious

We don't know, but whatever the case you got your money and now they can plug in that perfectly good air purifier they bought back from you and burn their fucking business down.

It seems to me you're a greedy whore and you should take your loss.

How on Earth do you think you can get something that costs $600 for $60? Either it's stolen (which makes you a bad person for buying it knowing this), or it's a POS.

who in their right mind would buy an oreck ANYTHING? everything they make is a POS.

of course the oreck is a POS. i got one for free from a yard sale. it's built poorly and doesn't filter for shit.

think of the ionic breeze with a shitty drum fan. the mesh screen filters better than the metal plates. it's not even worth $20. it uses a shit ton of electricity and it's noisy as hell.

a HEPA filter with charcoal prefilter is a much better deal at biglots. unless you like getting swindled, then by all means get it from target or THE SHARPER IMAGE.

i've got a SUPER deal on a rainbow vacuum! $1000, it's normally $3000. that's $2000 OFF. YOU CAN'T LOSE. it's a little used though.

[Edited on September 27, 2008 at 10:18 PM. Reason : ORECK - products for stupid people.]

too bad rainbows are even shittier than Orecks, lawls. btw, I would send that shit to the police, and I'd still call the local news agency. Oh, and contact the BBB. make these bitches pay, even though the owner allegedly "fired" the guy.

btw, to the person who said she "couldn't keep her mouth shut..." I'm sorry, but explaining that the unit almost burned your house down isn't exactly "running your mouth off." I'd say it's a valid reason for returning an item

2. if you want to be really sure if that manager got fired, call (or have a friend call) that store and ask for him.

It's also not posh, nor can I think of any situation where it could possibly be used to "create comic effect."
