Can't you have your own blood banked prior to surgery so that you do not have to receive someone else's blood if needed during surgery? I believe that I remember my grandmother doing this prior to a knee replacement. 10/1/2008 8:10:44 PM |

Hmm.
In our hematology/oncology course I never even heard about that but I suppose it's possible.
Something tells me that this guy is going to lose a lot of blood during surgery, however.
