I have the worst size ever.

I need a M or L polo (I wear a J. Crew large because it fits my neck and shoulders better)... but dress clothes are the worst for me. I'm like a 29.5 inseam but a 32 waste. Well, they don't really make that size. 30 inseam is a tad too long for me and 29 is a tad too short. I always have to get my clothes altered, which isn't a huge deal... but is annoying when I'm in a hurry.

The worst is dress shirts though. I'm a 16" neck but NOTHING you can find has sleeves/upper body my size with a 16" neck. I don't LOOK like I have a freakishly thick neck for my body size but the clothes I buy seem to tell me that

** In any case, this thread inspired me to buy some new clothes...

I've probably got about 20 short sleeve knit shirts, but some are Polo, some Polo Sport, some Alexander Julian, some Boss, some Nautica, some Tommy Hil, some Chaps, some J Crew...some solid colored, some striped, some with a pattern on them...

That's pretty much where I get all my casual clothes from. I've been actually getting my dress clothes mostly from Macy's recently, though...

I miss the clothes

Total Yay on the french cuff!

I like the white color and white cuff shirts a lot. It's hard to pull off without looking like a douche, but it's totally possible

my dress shirts are 19.5/35, and my dress pants are 36/32 (although I usually get a 42 waist tailored down so my thighs fit). I hate shopping for nice clothes, because the tailor's bill usually comes out to be as much as the clothes were.

For people with larger frames, Nike makes some very comfortable pique polos.

I love polos. I guess I went to a private HS where we wore white ones everyday. I got so used to not folllowing fashion then cause it didn't matter. I just love being able to know that they match like everything, and just easy as shit to just pick a color.

I don't feel right not wearing a collared shirt when i'm out in public.

They are having their end of summer sale right now. Sale prices + an add'l 20% off.

I bought two polos, a pair of khakis, one pair of shorts and a button down casual shirt for under $100 yesterday...

^^^ I very rarely wear a non-collared shirt unless I'm going to the gym...

[Edited on October 7, 2008 at 2:32 PM. Reason : or a sweater in winter, but i usually wear a sweater over a button down...]

Yay for going out to nice establishments. How else are you going to get to rock those expensive cuff links?

Nay for most work situations IMO. Regular cuffs do the job and don't look as ostentatious. I can't see them on a day-to-day unless you're trying to impress clients outside of a business environment, but that's just me.

I have probably 10 RL polos that I rotate. Grey long sleeve, black, white, burgundy, dark blue, grey, light blue, and a couple striped ones. I have a few Nautica ones and some less traditional branded stuff like O'Neill, The North Face, etc. I just dropped a bunch of older ones off at the thrift store yesterday.

Probably have about 10 polos (none are polo brand, but that's what I call 'em anyway). I'm more of a button-down guy though. Longsleeve with sleeves partially rolled up, or short sleeve. (If you don't wear a tie with them, and don't button them all the way to the throat, and/or get ones with a stripe or check pattern, you don't look like Milton...)
