let me school you on some grown-ass man knowledge here...

1. no person can EVER match the sexual desires of their partner perfectly ie...being 'in the mood' at the same time. that is why we have porn. that is why people rub it out.

2. you are going to have a severely strained and SHORT relationship if you completely depend on your partner for sexual release.

What if porn is just a way to have something different sometimes? Variety is a good thing. You can eat steak all day every day, but one day you are bound to crave a cheeseburger, because even though you enjoy steak, you still like cheeseburgers. (I know that's a horrible analogy, but I really tried to think of a better one and failed miserably.) My point is if you like it now, at some point in the future you are just going to want to watch porn because you enjoy porn. Just like if she does give it up all the time, but only in missionary, sometimes you're going to want something else ...

Of course, I don't mean be deceptive about it or anything. And if it does bother her, obviously talk about it and try to come up with a compromise. But if you enjoy watching it and try to just say you're never going to watch it again because she has an issue with it, that's bound to make you feel trapped or like she doesn't trust you, and I think that is also bad for the relationship.

My girlfriend appreciates the fact that I try to honor her in every way possible, including what I choose to think about and what I choose to watch.

I'm not perfect. I still have a hard time not looking, but it's a fight that's worth fighting. I'm not better than anyone else. I'm far from perfect. But I do think that I set my bar a little higher than most.

Why lower my standard because "it's what guys do."? I think that's a cop-out.
