My wife loves this show. I didn't really think much of the show until we had our first child and now I can watch the occasional episode. Watching it makes me glad I am not John. Kate really is a bitch either way. My wife even agrees with me on this.

if you think kate is a bitch you should see what jodi's sister wrote about kate on her blog. for those that don't remember, jodi is married to kate's brother kevin and jodi used to be on the show and babysit the kids all the time. apparently, from what jodi's sister has written in her blog, kate got pissed because the show wanted to start paying jodi for being a "regular" and kate specifically wrote in her contract that no one should "benefit" off of their family. supposedly there was a big falling out from it and jodi is no longer on the show.

with that said, i do think kate sometimes over reacts but for the most part she is being a good parent. it's hard having 8 kids running around house when 6 of them are the same age. try spending the weekend with 3 kids and see how that makes you feel. i can see why she would get upset with them sometimes, especially when she is the daytime caregiver and with them throughout the day.
