Hipsters are ALL ABOUT the lost irony. They do things for the ironic value (pastel shirts they wear, loosened tie or sport coat to invoke irony because they are so far from the 'corporate' world, wearing something completely lacking in style or fashion just to show how in-fashion they are, ect...). Also, they can often be seen liking things just because that thing is seen as 'indie'. They like coffee shops that maintain a starbucks-like atmosphere (Have you seen all those stupid quotes and shit starbucks puts on the little chalkboards littering their counters and walls? Yeah, hipsters like that shit), BUT they would never actually GO to a starbucks nowadays since it's way too popular and mainstream. Gotta avoid that conforming, and all. Typically they use Mac computers because they think that Mac vs PC commercials are actually funny/intelligent/true.


Scenesters are all about being pretentious dickwads. Also, they have more of a focus on music than hipsters do. They don't dress all that differently, though.

i took Apexbus to DC once and on the way back the bus got fucked up so we drove on the shoulder of the turnpike fron exit 1 to exit 7. It took awhile to get home.
