To me this loses any real value once fans are voting. It shouldn't be the Pro Bowl, it should just be called the Popular Bowl. Going through the rosters, the voting is done to early, and it is terrible.

I mean Ronnie Brown? Seriously? Steve Slaton has him beat in like every statistical category and only 1 less touchdown. LT isn't having a great season at all, but I'd even go w/ him over Brown.

im guessing it is because he has had far fewer attempts than in previous years

the panthers offense has been rather efficient (TDs over 3s) if you think about it, so his 3-pointers havent been needed as much this year

Ehh I dunno about DeAngelo....they didn't vote him because he splits carries.

Forte was the more snubbed RB in favor of Portis.

Cutler and Favre are a joke.

The bigger question is why Mario is a starter and Reggie Bush and Vince Young aren't.

[Edited on December 17, 2008 at 1:54 AM. Reason : ^True, but AFC backs are a lot weaker. DeAngelo is better than all 3]

I'll refer you to what I said four months ago

Quote :
"Smith had one awesome season, 2005. Before or since, he hasn't been in the top 10 in a single category."

Also, it's nitpicking, but he was tied for most receptions and TD in 05 with Fitzgerald and Harrison, respectively

He's third in yardage this season, 15th in receptions and tied for 13th in TDs

Crown him

[Edited on December 16, 2008 at 5:26 PM. Reason : ]

DUDE!!! he didn't even play the first two games. You forget to mention how he is UNSTOPPABLE, how he is leading in yards per game, or is a sick nasty blocker for our running tandem. How about the other guy who said Deangelo only had 14 TD's...he actually has 16. Leads the league.

He didn't play the first two games because he punched his teammate in the face.

Don't try and make him a martyr for his own retardation.

Rivers was snubbed, but that's going to happen when you've got the bad rap he's got.

As bad as the Lions are, Jason Hanson deservers to be in the Pro Bowl. 21/22 on the year and something ridiculous like 8/8 from 50+.

When Merriman led the NFL in sacks that year (1 or 2 years back, dont remember now) people gave him props for doing it especially after being suspended 4 games for substance abuse.

No reason why Smitty shouldn't receive the same treatment.

Yes, there is. It was dumb then and it's still dumb now.

Even though they are completely unlike the real Rivers, I always ROFL at the Kissing Suzy Kolber imitations of Rivers.

In their week 16 playoff prospects preview:

Quote :
"The Chargers can clinch the AFC West if:

CUTLERFUCKER FACES ME LIKE A MAN! OR AT LEAST FACE ME LIKE THE SULLEN TEENAGER POSING AS A MAN THAT HE IS! YOU OWE ME A BLOOD DEBT, HOCHULES! LASERFACE CONQUERS ALL!"

Demanding Buffalo beat the Broncos:

Quote :
"Philip Rivers: Ya betta ask someboddddaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy!

You know who’s a better quarterback than Cutlerfucker? Larry Johnson. You know who else? SOME DRIPPING PIG’S PENIS HANGING OUTSIDE A BUTCHER’S SHOP IN CHINATOWN!

But right now if the season ended today it would be the Cutlerfucker and not the Laserface who would be in the playoffs. YOU REALLY WANT THAT SULKING CUM CAULDRON IN THE POSTSEASON?! WHAT? HUH? WHAT? FUCK YOU!

That’s where you sacks of shit come in. You got Denver next week. You win, we naturally stomp mudholes in the Buttfuckaneers and I get my epic showdown with the Cutlerfucker for the division. I already lived up to my end by rallying my band of disgraceful underachievers on my aching shoulders yesterday in Arrowhead.

You think it’s easy to win when you throw the football like you’re putting the shot? NO, IT’S NOT FUCKING EASY! I’VE CULTIVATE A LASER-LIKE FLOAT YOU WOULD BE SMART TO NEVER RECKON WITH!"

Ronnie Brown ahead of Steve Slaton
Brett Favre ahead of Philip Rivers

pure bullshit

at least the players & coaches did a good job of overruling some retarded fan voting(i.e. Jordan Gross being a starter)

You would think that the most feared players on the best teams would be selected, which makes me question why Brandon Jacobs is not on the list. Yeah he may not have the stats of Turner and Peterson, but he is a better RB than Portis, a fan favorite in the biggest sports market in the country, and defenses absolutely hate going against him.

Shouldn't there be more players than this? Who wants to play like 2/3 of an all-star game? Shouldn't they have a full roster (what is it, 53?). Every position should have a reserve (4 total tackles, 4 OLBs, etc) and maybe another WR or two. Hell, 4 WRs could be on the field at the same time, shouldn't there be 5 or 6?

^^Holy shit...homer much?

No way Jacobs is a pro bowler over AP, Forte, Turner, Williams, Barber, Portis, etc.

He strikes fear in them and that should put him on the team?
