Someone told me this is playing at the Rialto right now... unfortunately for the fucking Rialto, they have the hardest to find movie listings in the history of man. I can tell you what's playing all next week, but I can't find whether it's is or ever was at the Rialto right now.

Rialto is a hell of a lot closer to me than Galaxy, but I'll go wherever to see it this weekend. I was hoping, since Rialto goes to a new movie starting tomorrow, that it would be there at least one more night (if it ever was there) and I could go check it out tonight.

in any case, Galaxy will have it for at least another week

I liked it. I probably liked it more for the cinematography than I did for the plot, but a solid movie anyhow.

Thanks, guys.

I called the Rialto Thursday and they already had MILK playing, unfortunately.

I went to Raleigh Grande Thursday night instead. I thought it was exceptionally good. After viewing the movie, and then reading up about the book, a lot of the subtleties in the film were confirmed.

Definitely well worth the time the money.

The girlfriend and I finally saw this. Pretty good although the cat scene was probably more comical than intended.

Wednesday is our last showing of this film at Galaxy. Showtimes at (4:10) and 9:30.

This movie was....awesome.

And I was in love with the little vampire girl by the end (not in that way).

saw the movie last night on netflix streaming business. liked it a lot and did a little searching on the imdb boards for the movie. i have a little response to the spoiler on the last page:

********************spoiler*******************************

apparently in the book it is explained that eli is not a girl (and the name is actually short for elias). she was castrated centuries before in some satanic ritual. when they show the flash of eli's crotch i thought it was a vagina and was a little weirded out but it's apparently just a scar from the castration. so every time eli says "i'm not a girl," ?he? is being more honest than it is let on in the movie.

**********end spoiler****************

The movie was quite clear that Eli was a castrated boy.
