i felt the same way about the names. it is just silly when you have pets names snuggles or paws or pumpkin et al

so i named mine otto and anna (that way if they have dyslexia and get lost, they can still tell people who they are)

and the fact that they are littermates and have each other for company does not stop them from getting in trouble or tearing up the furniture

fortunately. the couch and sofa i have are old and needed to be recovered anyway so it was no big deal that it is getting destroyed but they both like to chew through my low voltage cables around my computer

I'd have to say that about 90% of the cats I've had have had people names. My present 2 are the few exceptions. Daytona (big FAT orange male tabby...one baaaad mutha) and Roo (petite tortoiseshell, about as sweet a cat as you'll find).

The name needs to fit the personality. And it seems that very often, the cats I end up with are oozing a certain kind of personality. My cat Gabby for example...sounds like a snot bitch name. She's a snot bitch cat (I dearly love her, but she's got that uppity attitude).

nothing wrong with people names. My folks have cats named Celie, Priscilla, Bruce, and Snowy (cuz he's all white).

novelty names are dumb as shit.

felmale cats(animals) are different, ive had cats named misty and ashley before. but what would you name an animal bob orin this case steve. i guess if they are boring then thats okay. but i always grew up naming cats after. actions, colors, so on..

like my current cat. KITT. when i went to pick that nigga up he was jumping all over the place and stalker like and black. so i named him after the car in knight rider. other cat. Garfield, i dont need to say more bout that fat lazy sum bitch.

From my own experience, feed them alot of wet food if you get male cats. I have 2 male cats and they've both had UT problems, and it gets expensive.
