I would like to see apple make there users know they have a electronic device/computer not some
gift from the gods in their hands

I like mac but i hate most of there users, and seriously i would like to see them lower their prices
and put a second mouse button so i don't have to keep figuring out what combo button i need to press
when i'm fixing my parents

^lol? Is that a joke?

You want Mac to help you 'poor linux/pc' users by letting you use a 2 button mouse. Even after you were told you can use any 2 button mouse. Hell you can use a 7 button mouse if you want.

and if you would read i did work on a mac all summer and oh you know what i used a 2 button mouse it was nice

im in love with the new trackpad. from an accessibility standpoint it's so much better than the ctrl+click on my old powerbook (for me, at least).

I've finally come to the conclusion with Macs (particularly the laptops) that the issue isn't so much "they only come with one button" it's that Apple wants you to use a pointing method that is completely and utterly foreign to PC users.

Their newest touchpad on MacBooks being the best example of that.

soooooooo........is there any word if they are going to go back and strip the DRM off songs you've already bought? Or I wonder if I can just go and redownload them.

going to be a one time fee to strip your old songs. I think .30 per if I read it correctly.

it sounds like the issue isn't with mac but rather the people who's mac you're working on don't own a 2button mouse. Maybe you should talk to them about that.

-OR-

don't be retarded and learn how to use what you got.

seriously this '1 button' complaint is getting old.

there has been a method in place since DRM (iTunes Plus) music first became available. And yes it does cost 30cents a song to redownload the DRM free version. BUT if you buy DRM free (iTunes Plus) music for the first time it costs the same as DRM music

One thing I'd love see Apple do is hold true to the Push technology promised for other applications on the iPhone! I'm amazed about how I seem to be the only person pissed about this still not being deployed.

Some company needs to make a device with a proper/powerful camera, music/media player, and phone.

Maybe Apple should do it.

16 GB, or even better, 32 GB music player.
6 MP camera with multiple shooting modes, powerful flash, 3-4X optical zoom, and a nice lens.
Full-function phone.
And of course, the seamless design Apple is known for.

I would pay upto a grand for that.

So basically you're saying you want a better camera in the iPhone?

Why didn't you just say that?

Well you can't really have a sleek phone/mp3 player and have a good camera.

I know Sony was working on liquid based optical lens zoom technology, but other then that proper camera mechanics would make everything else a bit cumbersome.

I think anything with a 3-4x optical zoom and a powerful lense would require a bigger device (at least for now) and would not be repuropsed very well as a cell phone.

maybe 2-3 more years for that

It's not really electronics, its the optical zoom with a glass lens.

Trust me, you're not the only person. I'd prefer an iPhone without a built in camera if it was all the same otherwise.

the point is, if it was possible to have an iPhone-sized device with a high-quality camera built in (with no additional size or weight, or cost), then who wouldn't want that?

you can still carry an SLR or whatever if you want, but there are so many integration advantages of having a phone in a communication device like iPhone that there's not point of not having one included

Yeah I know, but if I originally bought a DRM'd song for 0.99, and now the DRM free version is also 0.99, having to pay 0.30 to upgrade is basically the definition of theft.

When iTunes Plus first came out it was actually $1.29 per song which is where this 30cents came from. Now I suppose they see it as a 'service' fee. Which is still ridiculous.

yeah, same question here.

i suppose he's referring to the constant bitching about how fast the browsers load pages in the iPhone commercials?
1) it wouldn't be much of a commercial to sit and watch a page load for 20 seconds
2) they never show anything necessarily unrealistic, but they obviously use highly optimized conditions (like all companies will do when advertising their products). They will use WiFi or the best 3G connections possible when loading pages.

i like having a camera in my phone for the sole purpose of taking pictures when i'm NOT carrying my real camera...you know, like auto accidents (documentation or to be uploaded to TWW) and such

would i go out of my way to have a "nicer" camera in a phone and then pay for that? of course not

awesome:
Quote :
"One day back then, he convened a meeting with his team, and the discussion turned to a particular problem in Asia.

"This is really bad," [Tim] Cook [, Jobs' 'temporary' replacement,] told the group. "Someone should be in China driving this." Thirty minutes into that meeting Cook looked at Sabih Khan, a key operations executive, and abruptly asked, without a trace of emotion, "Why are you still here?"

Khan, who remains one of Cook's top lieutenants to this day, immediately stood up, drove to San Francisco International Airport, and, without a change of clothes, booked a flight to China with no return date, according to people familiar with the episode. The story is vintage Cook: demanding and unemotional. "

Macs come with a 2 button mouse, the second button i not enabled by default. You have to go to the Mouse system preference.
