Many of my friends from high school and my brother were all volunteer firefighters. they do it because they enjoy it. they are just as against socialized med. and gov't handouts as i am

there are TONS of people who HAVE health insurance, but still can't afford their premiums or the cost of chemo, surgery, medicine.... you don't see that? what country are you living in?

Either that or the insurance co. will straight up deny life saving surgeries or medicines for a VARIETY or money-saving reasons, but they justify it by calling it "pre-existing conditions" or "elective."
