There's two variables in this equation.

1) The players have to tackle better
2) the defensive play calling must be something other than Prevent.

I'm not sure of all the rules, but you are right, they probably could have used done something better than play cards. A nice game of "catch the greased-up deaf guy" probably would have helped with their tackling.

Irving is not listed as "out" for the game. O'Brien said he would practice this week, as would Julian Williams.

I'd like him to at least get in the game for a few snaps to get up to speed before wake and UNC. I don't care if we don't go bowling at this point, but if we lose to wake for the 4th time in a row i'm going to be upset.

I think the standard for most coaching staff's is to teach fundamentals in the off season and worry more about scheme during the season, which I understand completely.

But yes, there comes a point where scheme doesn't matter b/c if you're in position and can't make the play, its all for nothing.

Hopefully we come as a changed team after the bye.

^they had it listed as ESPN360/ESPNU, gopack says 360 and the TWC guide says ESPNU has the Wake game so I'm gonna assume it's on 360 until I see otherwise

The game is on espn 360. Going to Durham tomorrow morning at 10AM. Tailgate at 1030... game at 3:30. Tickets were 20 bucks!!!
