A literacy test is a horrible idea because it would discriminate against those who have not had the opportunity for higher education or even the opportunity to finish high school. Not everyone is privileged enough to get to finish school so they should not be punished by taking away their vote. The only time I agree with someone getting their vote taken away is when you have been convicted of a felony. But even then, once you are out of prison you can get your vote back.

even though I know they have it, at least with their exit polling (the only reason I knew that people with postgraduate degrees went Obama was because of CNN last night)
