Yeah, but a lot of foreign policy is simply how you relate to the general regimes you find internationally. So if you can pin down where your views on most issues are domestically, it'll tell you roughly how you would fair with foreign policy. The only thing they could really measure is your level of interventionalism which is probably going to be tied fairly closely to your social leaning anyway.

^ That's the feeling I got too. It would have been a closer election if he'd stayed toward his centrist views instead of pandering to get the base out. That's the main reason he was nominated and I was sad to see him abandon it so readily.
