I spent $3 a day on food

I lost so much weight I was technically underweight

I ate food out of the trash can at work

I only get my haircut every 4 months, even though I hate the way it looks, because I'm too cheap to get it cut more frequently

Snewf, you really screwed your life up with the hacking incident (or at least put you behind a few years).

Breakfast: peanut butter sammich

Lunch: Ramen or hot dog (or Golden Dragon if feeling fancy)

Dinner: hot dog or Ramen (Hamburger Helper cooked in the Ferry on payday)

Clothes and shoes were all outlet, all the time. Gas was bought in $5-10 increments.

It hasn't gotten that cold yet. But I do have several blankets and I wear a coat inside and all that, lol.

Scholarship people piss me off

I graduated #10 in my class with a 4.3something gpa, 1360 SAT, shittons of clubs, and worked ~30 hours a week at a part time job.

I got a grand total of $500 in scholarships.

I'm 25 and still live with my mom while I go to college.

I drive an hour and 15 minutes each way to school because it's cheaper than getting my own place in Wilmington.

I don't think cheap is a noun, but I pay for my drinks now. I really only did that at shitty places like Bogart's and Stool Pigeons.

i have a friend who got kicked out of his dorm in turlington and lived in the study lounge for about a full semester

he lost his room key earlier and they re-keyed it. he found the old key later, so he was still able to get into the building and the bathroom while living in the study lounge.

We knew we were moving out of a place in December and it had been a mild winter so we opted not to pay to have the gas connected that winter. My peanut oil solidified in my cabinet as my house dropped into the low 40's during a week long cold snap... I had a reading light directly beside my computer with a spotlight in it to keep me warm.

One of my favorite things to do is buy beer with change.

Last tuesday for the election I purchased 2 King Cobra 40's with the change from my center console

but probably the best was about every 3-4months I would purchase a case of beast light with the $10 in change I had saved...

I still drink Schlitz b/c it's $3/6pack and I'm living on my savings until late January

I have lived off peanut butter and jelly for extended periods of time, my sophomore summer I managed on a food budget of $25 a week which was enough to get burgers when food lion used to run $0.99/lb ground beef. great times... but that's probably not nearly as impoverished as this thread is directed to...

[Edited on November 11, 2008 at 8:42 PM. Reason : $25/wk is pretty healthy]
