I dunno, some of them might not want to eat all the meat because it's messy and you get sauce ALL OVER you if you do. That's not ladylike.

When I am eating wings at home alone...I ravage them. Only bones are left.

Wings are not ladylike period. If a bitch decides she wants to get down and eat wings, then SHE NEEDS TO GET DOWN. Finish them shits or don't even start. If you want to be ladylike, then I will take you for sushi or something.

a messy eater is more of a turn off than a picky eater imo.

and if somebody is vegan/vegetarian, but not because they don't like the taste of meat or whatever (such as why a picky eater decides to not eat something), would they be considered picky? I wouldn't call myself picky about food in general, but I am a vegan.

Especially when she eats my wings. I make BOMB ASS wings, and they are sloppy as hell. Definitely not first date material. But if a broad can come over and sop up my wings, then she is definitely dateable.

i didn't read the whole thread but i don't consider getting the dressing on the side to be too picky or fussy. a lot of people prefer to do that.

not eating meat isn't that horrible because again, lots of people are vegetarians.

if your list is extremely long, then yea. but everyone has preferences. i'm a little confused i guess the dressing on the side comment really throws me.

this just isn't stuff i analyze on a daily basis. probably because i eat and i'm usually too involved with my own food to pay attention to what someone else is doing (unless they make comments about the food)

dressing on the side, by itself, isn't bad.
But it's usually accompanied by "what dressings do you have......?", at whcih point the waiter rambles off the same fucking list of dressings that every restaraunt in the world has, then a bit of fake deliberation, then it's just "ranch, on the side", then other demands - no cheese, no bacon bits, substitute fish for chicken, and spinish leaves only please

^^ some few places have red wine vinaigrette dressing (the best kind of dressing), that you won't know about unless you ask.

Wendy's actually use to have it in packets, but stopped carrying it after like a month. The only place I know of are nicer Italian restaurants and Primavera Pizza in Garner.

Dressing on the side isn't bad and a lot of places do it standard. (As for the dressing type debate, you can't go wrong with oil and vinegar--I love getting those little racks.)

If it's a first date, I'd be much more likely to suck it up and deal wherever the guy is taking me to be polite. It's one meal.

However, I think that after you've been dating a while it's much less likely to make a bad impression.

I don't usually eat meat other than seafood but philihp may as well be a carnivore. It makes it kind of hard to agree on pizza toppings and such so a lot of the time I'll just deal with a few pepperonis.

Fortunately I don't have any actually dietary or idealistic concerns. I just love plants to much that I want to eat as many of them as possible.

omg five guys IS awesome. <3 <3 <3

and i have to say, someone that eats a steak anything past like medium gets the thumbs down. generally narrow-minded eaters are a turn-off. i love spice, condiments, and trying new foods.

oh, and yeah, i agree with some of the guys about wings - if you're gonna eat wings, you better damn well eat them. especially if they're home-made.

i think this is generally what is meant by the term "picky eater"

it isn't being picky about what you eat because you don't like certain things. it is being completely close minded and refusing to try foods because they "look weird" or because you haven't ever had them or even because you've tried them once and didn't like them. so what, try it again. all food can be made badly.

i think the term picky eater definitely denotes someone who will say like "i don't like that" when they haven't even tried it. not someone who is literally picky or careful about what they eat and chooses to avoid things that they don't wish do eat or don't like. everyone does that. but picky eaters are judgmental and stay in their little bubbles and order like grilled cheese and chicken fingers at every restaurant.

I'm not terribly turned off by this IF the person has a condition that makes them picky. Like if they have hypoglycemia or IBS or something.

vegetarian/vegan is a definite turnoff, as is a girl who can't finish a hamburger. What she wants to put on that burger, however, I couldn't care less.

not finishing food is acceptable

but being like "only ketchup" and not because they had a weird desire for ketchup that day is unacceptable

I need variety in my diet and since everyone that spends time around me eats my cooking they best enjoy variety as well

I'm one of those hos who doesnt take everything off a chicken wang. Some parts of it are hard cartilage feeling things and no thanks. I do eat all the squishy tasty meat though.

Food is awesome.

depends on the level of picky. if it's just a couple easy-to-get-around things like raw tomatoes, mushrooms, or whatever, then it's no big deal.

now if she whines about only wanting to eat free-range meat products and organic this and unprocessed that, then it becomes a pain in the ass.
