most places make copies of your resume and put it in a stack that gets sent around to other people making hiring decisions

if they have to make a special effort to flips your over and flip your first page out of the stack they're not going to want to bother

lighten up just print the extra paper, francis

I am all for environmentalism, and I actually would like to be able to print a 2-page resume on one sheet some day, but for now, if you print any official/serious document back-to-back, you will be laughed at. That's how it is unfortunately.

there's obviously different expectations based on what sort of position for which you are looking. let this be a lesson in resume writing: know your audience.

I need some help with the wording, or getting the following into the most concise, effective format.

Situation: Full time manager of very high end, custom sports equipment company. After about a month of employment, i was tasked with moving physical location of the company to another town. This included taking an inventory of current assets and mechandise, packing, disassembly of fixtures, and coordinating movers. At the new location, we had to paint, put up walls, create displays, build the entire workshop area, carpeting, design, layout, floor plan, as well as setting up new accounts, switching utilities...basically everything involved with opening up a new business, from scratch.

This was not the primary reason i was hired, but it was a situation that came up and I knocked it out of the park. As the manager of this company, the day-to-day operations provides me with plenty of other material for the resume. Its this whole moving operations thing that im not sure how to word

plz2help?

That's terrible. Don't write like how you would talk.

the whole "doing other things while doing the day-to-day basics" thing should be spelled out throughout your resume

*the stuff underlined could use a little more refining, but that should be a good start

sorry most of the advice in this thread is completely useless and in some cases completely incorrect. You have to remember most of the posters have McDonald's type jobs......
