Sure wwf had it's moments during the nitro vs raw years. Like aimorris said, "Mankind/Undertaker, Stone Cold/Rock, DX...." or *stone cold vs mcmahon. But those were the some the best and last of what wwf/wwe had to offer. They took a nose dive into weird, vulgar storylines that basically blurred all notion of what a heel and the hero were supposed to be (not saying immorality wasn't as present before, just that it never was so prevelent). It became cheap gimmick entertainment and the wrestling suffered for it. I mean who the hell wants to root for guys like Cena or Baptista, they're not stars so who gives a fuck. And to say that wwf was better because it had the very awesome HBK who did entertain well in his matches, especially that match you referred to between him and hart (oh yeah, I saw the whole thing too) is in no way taking into account the constant action seen in the wcw nitro days. Ex. Hamlem heat, outsiders, steiner brothers, six pack. 6 man lumberjack matches with the likes of la parka, ultimo dragon, rey, juventud, eddie, psychosis etc. And the list goes on. Then you got old pros like dean malenko and such. It was such a better venue and was not drawn out like the wwf, it got straight to the point.

Trust me, if you want to switch the focus to wwf you got a lot fans who remember wcw well and will say otherwise.

Anything midcard or lowercard in WWF during the Monday Night Wars was pretty boring compared to what WCW had

Their cruiserweights were the shit -- Jericho, Malenko, Eddie and Chavo Guerrero, Juventud, Rey Mysterio

Their tag teams were the shit -- Raven's flock, any nWo tag team, Steiner bros, Harlem Heat, etc


damn I miss those days, it's hard to believe that was like 10 years ago. They need to make a wrestling channel and just show all those classic Nitro episodes, I would watch the hell out of it

i was a WCW guy myself and went to see it everytime it was at the Norfolk Scope.


Everything for WCW took a down turn when they started putting that crappy ass WCW Thunder show on tv and having to make extra storylines for it, similar to how WWE has watered down their current product

you are referring to "after" a certain poin.t, i am referring to everything up to that certain point

nor are you understanding that i personally prefer a certain style of wrestling...you just named a bunch of wrestlers that i had no interest in seeing based on their style of action


i do not like ANYONE in the WWE i dont watch it, john cena with his spinning title was pathetically gay thats not how WWF used to be

I played some of wcw/nwo revenge but i wanted to see if the wwf had put out a good game....i suggest checking out wwf no mercy...same engine as revenge but the graphics are a lot better

^dude i had gotten fire pro wrestling because i had heard it not only had PRIDE fighters on it, but because it was the most realistic MMA style fightin of any game out now


but once i started playin the game i never even attempted mma style matches, because i was amazed at how realistic the pro wrestling was

i mean there was nothin that game left out, you could run shows to make money, you could be a heel or a face, you got rated on how entertaining the matchmaking and/or your match was, and the create a wrestler mode is better than anyother game period.

you could even choose between different types of refs. The game was so realistic it ws too hard for me to get the hang of. i dnt think i ever actually won a match lol, the controls were actually pretty involved

so i sold it when i needed money, hopefully ill be able to find it again when i can sit down and learn how to play
