I feel like an ass, but this made my day better... If I get a response, I'll let you know.

I sent him this:

Quote :
"Sir, I believe you are GRAVELY mistaken. There's something called a Tire Iron, which I'll post a link to just incase you are mistaking these so called "Tire Rods." I mean, how can you have a rod for your tire? That could puncture it or something and that's bad news if you want to drift or some baller high speed runs.

It is really called a TIE ROD. I'll bet you the McDonald's Dollar menu if you don't believe me. You obviously have internet, so I'd suggest looking it up. Actually, you probably won't, so I'll take the liberty of doing it for you. You wouldn't want to look incompetent when a tuner starts asking you fly questions about your whip now do you? Cause your car won't sell for much if they think you are ignorant.

TIE ROD: http://mestiso.net/photogallery/240/CIMG1966.jpg

In automobiles, the tie rods are part of the steering mechanism. They differ from the archetypical tie rod by both pushing and pulling (operating in both tension and compression).

I got that information from wikipedia, so you know it's true.

Here's my source in case you want to verify: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tie_rod

TIRE IRON: http://narcosphere.narconews.com/userfiles/tireiron.jpg

TIRE ROD: DOES NOT EXIST, REALLY TRY LOOKING IT UP.

Trust me on this one, I know what you are talking about. By the way, how are the Cadillac converters holding up?

^^^^ Not really. Just saving up money to pay off the new car and school amongst other things... I need some $TEXAS parts for the 944 to get it where I want it. I guess I could just spend an evening wiring a battery kill switch (it's annoying having to disconnect it each time I go joy riding...).

Otherwise yes, my automotive life is currently in "bored" status.

i'm pretty much done with all the little appearance/stereo stuff on the excursion. only thing left is to get a tune for it from a guy in sc. apparently the stock ones are garbage and this guy averages a 30rwhp increase on the v10's with his custom files. guaranteed to still be safe for towing too.

i'll start back on the interior redo and cage on the c5 here soon now that drop top weather has returned. i got as far as stripping it and fitting one new aftermarket seat before it got cold. i think i'm going to put the seats i have in the c4 though and get some kirkeys instead for the c5. i need to get the new rear wheels/drag radials on also to match the front skinnys. after that, it'll pretty much be "done" for now. just some tweaking here and there on the chassis/suspension to dial it in through the 60ft. mark and work on the driver mod.

i won't even go into the eleventy billion things that need to be done on other vehicles/projects.

73 Duster in my parents driveway in psuedo-primer with the front clip off waiting for a ton of small parts that will kill my $
73 Dart thats gonna be a DD until it sales or I move to somewhere with a garage or driveway
07 Cummins that id like to tweak on, tint, toolbox and get some bigger tires for. 15mpg first tank cause I drive 7min to work and spinning posi at 25-30mph is fun
