I would agree with this if the amount of points increased exponentially as you got closer to your optimal weight.

And just what is optimal weight? Are you going to reference bmi, I sure as fuck hope not, that would be idiotic. Would it be personal goals/ideals?

You're right, because according to this chart

I'm actually under-weight .

I don't think there should be a winner, but everyone should just state their goals, whether it's weight loss, a certain 5k time, or a certain lift amount.

^^^ Hold off on the anti-bmi frothing. There are plenty of other models, such as

http://qjmed.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/93/9/589

and nothing says that people can't use different models -- just as long as people accept the reason for not using BMI and the goal doesn't seem like cherry picking.

Waste to hip ratio is another fitness estimator that may be more palatable than BMI and just as easy to calculate

PM me if you are interested and include the following:

The maximum you would join for.........
Your goal......
A set of rules if you do not like the current suggestions.....

I will post the results and we can vote. The money would be collected up front. ...Current suggestion is give it to an advisor for the semester. We would meet as a group for the pre weigh in/pictures and the post weigh in/pictures.

I have received approximately 5-6 people PMs that are interested. I think a good number would be between 10-15.
