i have done a few awesome things on New Year's eve. I went to a couple NYE Balls when I was younger. Lately not so much but I am excited about this year. Our friends are having a house party where they will DJ and we will be drinking wine the whole night. Very niiiiice.

I liked NYE when I was bartending because we'd always clean up...as far as being a "holiday", who cares.

Im meh about NYE. Back in the day it was exciting but the older I get the less I want to get really wasted anyways. Plus all the bars are full off drunk idiots who can't handle the booze because they are "partying it up, woooohoooo!!!" And as stated it's Amateur night on the roads. I prefer to stay home or go to the local bar if I even go out. Big deal. Guess I'm not "cool" because I'll probably be in bed by 10:30pm. Plus I have to work on the 1st and I'm not burning a vacation day just so I can get shitfaced and feel like ass the next day. I prefer to take my days off when I can do something fun.

some people just get it off from work (the first). so not everyone is burning a vacation day to get shitfaced, but ok.

i like nye because it gives me a chance to hang out with my friends. now that we have all kind of gone different ways and i don't see them as often, we usually get together for new years (because, people are off work, etc)

honestly i really could care less about it...i requested it off and got it off, along with new years day...but i'm probably gonna sit at my apt and be productive...its basically a glorified day off for me

I just hope I don't every see again what I saw about 3 years ago on NYE. These two fat girls were so drunk that they started making out and fingering each other. The one girl had a boyfriend who got a little upset with what was happening, so he joined in. Then they got off the couch and went in the bedroom. The rest of us could hear them moaning. The guy walked out a few minutes later, smelled his fingers, and said, "It's two different smells." Then he grabbed a slice of pizza and started eating it. It was pretty sick to see happening.
