I ate like 20 apple cores on Saturday, between making pie and sauce. My lady at the Farmer's Market told me it was their last weekend until the Spring, so I impulse bought like 25 pounds of 'em.[Edited on January 13, 2009 at 10:15 AM. Reason : 2]

I have 1 egg for breakfast, a bowl of bran cereal with a cup of low fat milk, and black coffee. For lunch I have a soup and a salad, with balsamic dressing.Dinner is usually chicken of some sort with mustard and a random vegetable.I limit myself to one diet soda a day, and drink water whenever possible. For exercise, every morning and evening I do 20 pushups = 40 per day, everyday.I should probably do cardio, like walking every night, but haven't worked it into my routine yet.

you should try to find a cheap treadmill on CL if you don't want to join a gym. it is so much easier to do cardio when you have a TV in front of you, imo

I did a Cyclical Ketosis Diet for all of December....managed to lose 10 real lbs after sitting at a plateau for 2 months. I'd eat around 3000 calories of pure fats/protein and maybe 10-30g net carbs. Net carbs = Total carbs - fiber - sugar alcohol. I wasn't having mood swings but when I would go for my weekend carb load, I'd fall asleep shortly after. I'd open up easy, consuming ~50g of high GI carbs after my lifting then another 200g of low GI foods for the rest of the day, keeping fat consumption to a minimal as well. I never had a craving for sugar either, just a craving for sustenance. I believe most of the sensations I felt were driven by emotions rather than physical limitations. I would feel weak after my lifts and would tell myself not to push as hard since I was "fragile." Wasn't really true and when I go back on a CKD plan for february, I'll probably cruise through much easier than the first time around. Daily diet was more or less the same:Meal 1: 3 eggs, 1tbs olive oil, 1oz cheese, 3 strips baconMeal 2: 1.5oz almonds/pecans, 6oz lean meatMeal 3: 1 cup baby spinach, 1.5oz almonds/pecans, 6oz lean meatMeal 4(PreWO): 1x whey scoop, 4tbs heavy creamMeal 5(PostWO): 2x whey scoops....wait an hour....1.5oz almonds/pecansMeal 6: 1 cup baby spinach/broccoli, 2oz cheese, 6oz lean meat, 1tbs olive oilMeal 7: 1 cup cottage cheesegood times

Yeah, last time I did low-carb I dropped around 35lbs, but I didn't do it the healthy way. I wasn't working out so I just looked all skinny and sick. This time my weight loss will be much more gradual since I am also building muscle and not destroying my body from the inside out.

I hit a plateau where I didn't lose any weight for a week whereas I've previoiusly been losing a pound a day for the first few weeks of induction. Every single low carb resource I looked at said if you binge sometimes it can help to trick the body and restart the cycle. As of this morning I still have no ketones in my urine so i'm angry at that But while I was on the diet before I felt better than ever. I guess messing up my blood sugar sent me on a roller coaster last night Plus I pooped for the first time in a week so I was happy
