haha exactly

i'll admit, i'm not an "nc state sports" fan

i'm an "nc state basketball and football and bandwagon baseball" fan

i didnt grow up going to nc state volleyball or soccer games and i dont give two shits about those sports. the fact that this guy goes to all this stuff doesnt make him a better fan than me, it just means he has more free time.

My biggest 'chant' pet peeve is the "oh oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh - oh" or however it's spelled. With the 'ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo' while bouncing up in down coming in a close second.

I sat behind an old dude (no foam hat) with his daughter during one of the December games. He was right a half court in the student section. He is married to one of the dance team members. He was mad at his daughter for not standing up and supporting her stepmother when the dance team was on the floor. I have no idea how he gets the tickets, but he does know all the RBC Center staff very well.

I am not 100% sure we are talking about the same guy, since the guy I saw did not have on a foam cowboy hat. I am sure that the guy I saw with his high school aged daughter said he was married to a dance team member.

The travel chant is awesome, fuck you if you don't like it.

The more people who do it, the better it gets.

HOLD 'EM, DEFENSE, HOLD 'EM!
also gay: TWO, TWO, TWO FOR THE WOLFPACK

also, no one should ever do the wave at a college football game. EVER. under no circumstances is this acceptable.

the traveling chant is ok, i thought it ended, "ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooyou traveled!"

and superfan is decidedly awesome.

Apologies, I mean no offense to any others who are also as dedicated.

Being in band, stoncuttr has the chant right.

Personally Im glad we have people that are that dedicated to go support our teams. I wish I could. I try with band enough, and would love to do more, but its not for everyone I know.

yea and sits front row at every football/bball game which, in the swpc, means you have to go to a TON of stuff throughout the year. I was in SWPC b/c i wanted guaranteed tickets and went to alot but could never crack the top b/c i wasnt willing to skip class, miss men's games on tv (yes they sometimes have events during men's away games or football games) and have no social life.

that oks buddy. #1, i know you are trying to make that sentence sound like it is bad but i would bet that 95% of the people who go to football and men's bball games only care about those 2 sports, plus maybe basketball. i grew up going to men's bball games and football games wiht my dad. i have no interest in watching the other sports at all b/c the majority of them bore me to tears. i mean it isnt like i cheer for osme other team i just dont care. i guess if i was big into volleyball, i would go to the games and cheer ont he pack but i'm not. and i am of the opinion that, while you may be a bigger nc state men's bball and/or nc state football fan than i am (and again, i dont care), the fact that you go watch the cross country team isnt what gives you that title.

#2, unlike you, i am not interested in being on tv/jumbotron every game or being dubbed a "#1 fan," i just want to see my favorite team play and hopefully win. and when i go to a game the point is primarily to do that and a close 2nd to cheer loud and hard in the hopes that i can help put some fire behind the boys to get that win. i expect no recognition and desire none for being a normal fan.

so why make a thread about dissing our fans? that's just his style. I don't give a shit if superfan came to the game dressed as a clown. If he's standing beside me screaming for the wolfpack, that's good by me.

^ good point... leave it up to us to ridicule our own fans for supporting our athletics too much. This is the dumbest argument ever.

Travel chant is good, as is everything the band does.

We easily have the best damn band in the ACC. And definitely one of the top 3 marching bands in the ACC.

We are the only band in the ACC that doesn't cap the number of members it can have, and also the only band in the country that is allowed on the floor during the game. Gonna miss being behind the basket after all these years.

And wolfdawg4 has more spirit in one pinky than I have in my entire body, and I think I'm a pretty big fan.

rwoody and HUR can call me gay or a douche or whatever. I will continue to do what I do because last time I checked, I am there to support my team and my university. Until a student athlete comes up to me and tells me to stop, I will continue to cheer on the PACK the way I want to. So far, our teams thank me for my dedication and love the support I show them.

why are you proud? they have given them out every year for at least the last 20, seems kinda pointless to keep one...

(although i have one too but i think it is signed by the fire/ice team)
