yae i think the NC boys make it and then the last guy who I have a feeling will make it all the way and win.

I think Simon told him what he did to keep his head level, he did tell him and has told the guy he has the best voice in the competition...and normally whoever simon tells that to ends up winning.

I think its gonna be close though between that final spot...the hot girl needs to make it...but its gonna be a tight one.

For the record, only one girl and one guy from last night's group will make it. Then the next person with the highest amount of votes (girl or guy). So 3 guys CANNOT continue from last night.

This is not true. After the weeks of singing, the judges will send through a "wild card" from each group. Theoretically, a guy could get the top guy vote, then the 3rd spot with the next most votes, and then another guy could be saved by the judges. I guarantee anoop will not get voted in, but will pick up that judges selection spot in a few weeks.

the way i understood it was the wildcard week is the 12 picked by the judge that didn't make it but deserve 1 more shot... then they perform again and 3 go through

I hadn't watched the show all year, but tuned in last night out of boredom. Very weird show. It was like the voice/music mix was way off and the singers were incredibly too loud. It was painful to listen to some of those middle performers (including the hot girl).

I was seriously abou to give up on the show until the last guy went on. Holy shit ... that dude is awesome. If he's not at least in the top-3 by season's end, something is wrong.

Just caught up and watched last night's episode... So weird... Several people were really, really bad! I didn't like any of the girls - blah. I thought several of the guys were really good though!

is it just me or is the sound messed up? it was fine during tryouts and hollywood week, but last night and tonight it's...i dunno... different. like i need to pop my ears or something. the commercials aren't that way nor are other channels.

yeah i've noticed this as well, even going back to last season. it sounds like the mixing is very off.

are using EXTRA GLORIOUS 5.1 STEREO or normal television speakers?

last year the mixing on my surround sound was completely off. this year i haven't noticed it as much... (I made some adjustments that semi-solved the issues last year.)

I've had sound issues as well.

The first couple of songs on Tuesday sounded alright, then there was a noticable change for the worse (not related to the singing).

I blamed Ted Danson and Neil Patrick Harris.

the person that sings last is always the best (according to the judges).....
notice the last 2 people that went last made it to the final 12. i have no doubt that lil rounds will make it as well...

it is obvious that they arrange the order after seeing the contestants' rehearsals

: seeing how 4 can't make it, i don't know. I think the delilah performance wasn't as memorable.

Most of the suckage is coming from this retarded new format. Too many decent singers not getting a chance. I liked the previous format much better, you weed out the truly crappy ones early on, and the decent ones get chances to redeem themselves. I would've liked to hear more from a lot of the ppl who have been cut (assuming they're not "wildcards").

i do like that they are letting them sing longer. Past seasons it was like a 90 sec. spot to sing..how the hell can you tell if someone sings good in 90 sec...well, some people you can tell..but 90 sec. of a song tells me shit. At least now they have what seems like a 2 or 3 minute song chance.

i mean of course the show is about rating, every show on network tv is about the ratings

and AI does plenty of blatantly obvious things b/c of ratings, from stretching 30 minutes of content into a 2 hr performance show and stretching 5-10 minutes of content into an hour long results show to having the producers pick bad songs for the people they dont like

shit, bringing tatiana, and def norman, into the top 36 was a rating ploy, but putting either into the top 12 that they pretend is the cream of the crop of undiscovered talent is just absurd.

they flat out said they were including tatiana for entertainment purposes when they were explaining why they picked her before they announced her name. it sucks, i hate her, but they weren't trying to hide why they chose her.

Who cares if she put out an album before? I could do that in my basement. Obviously, her first attempt at a music career wasn't that successful. Are we working on a one-strike policy? Where does it say that about American Idol?

Because supposedly that is why they disqualified someone from the top 32 this season and brought Felicia back for this week's group. Even though they've let others through who have also had contracts/albums. I think the rule might be for a curren contract though, I'm not sure.

I think the main reason the other girl was kicked off was because she's had direct representation with people involved with American Idol. That was the conflict of interest.
