Good god GT is terrible and we should have lost that at home. They had an uber meltdown down the stretch. They looked like us with a lead.

Great effort by Costner.

Let's see if we can take some momentum into Cameron Indoor and hold it under a 30 point game.

Within 5 at half, and then >20 point loss. Duke 92 - State 68.

i could see that

i also think the jist of his prediction is we play them kind of close one half, but they destroy us in another

maybe its the opposite of what he said...maybe we're down 19 at the half, and we only lose by 22

That's how it's gone at Cameron for as long as I can remember.

That's how we roll. We keep it close, or lead, the entire game, then blow it the last 5 minutes.

i can see a score more along the lines of 73-56

there is no way duke scores 90 and no way we score 80.

If Duke has a lead with 7 mins to go, you start seeing 34 second possessions

^ Good point. Subtract 15 from each side of my prediction.

We have actually played duke relatively well under Lowe. It's because duke hasn't had elite guard play and they have had inferior big men in recent years.

It will still be a 20 point loss in cameron. ACCT might be a different story

Duke will pressure the hell out of us and our young guys won't perform well in an environment like Cameron.

I hate our chances in this game at even keeping it close

remember last year in cameron when we were up at halftime and ended up losing by like 25?

^ Yeah. And I remember being livid because Duke was getting all the calls. Or that might have been the year before that or the year before that or the year before...you get the picture.

We only do that against decent or below average teams.

I don't see how we could possibly keep this close.

Why wouldn't they? It's not like 2 feet were dumped. The Hurricanes played the day after the huge 2 feet snowstorm (tix were free and you could sit anywhere -- was fun).

My favorite college basketball memory has to do with snow was going to a UConn game at Gampel against Boston College. It was a little bit of rain before the game and it started snowing when we were at a pizza place right across from campus. By the time UConn finished beating BC for the 17th straight time (literally) there was nearly 8 inches on the ground...

By second favorite was in 2004 when we upset #1 Duke and came out of the RBC to HARD snow falling. Too bad it didn't stick much and turned to rain overnight...

That's insane. I picked the National Championship score correctly in 2005 when Illinois lost to UNC but it was a random guess based on no research.

Javier Gonzalez: Don't play this kid for the rest of the year. He gave us some promise and solid minutes last year but clearly he has something on his mind besides basketball this year. Give him the year off to figure out if basketball is important to him. It's not fair to people who pay for tickets to watch him play this year."

in some ways so right. in others so wrong. lowe definitely gave him the time off to figure out if bball was important to him. fortunately, it didn't take the whole season and javi came out with a vengeance!
