Are you really that stupid to think I was serious about that, and that I don't know who handles my finances?

Wow.

typically one implies they are joking using a variety of methods and does not try to backpedal after they get called out.

whether you meant it or not, doesn't matter.

like you said yourself.

^^ If you think I did not know Chase fronts their money you are stupid as anything I can think of. Also, if you think I think its more than a snowball's chance in the basement of hell of me not having to pay it off you are also stupid as anything I can think of.

you should take up drinking coffee at night/afternoon again. Just put some Jamison's in there, it offsets the caffeine so its not cheating or anything

Ok, serious question. I bought my Plasma in late October with the Firedog TV calibration shit. I was waiting until I got my shit mounted on the wall and setup how it will be permanently before I had them do this as its currently sitting almost at my ceiling on top of my POS old entertainment center that the TV is too big to set inside.

So should I call them ASAP and get them to come do this, or try and ask for a refund? I paid for a service that has not been delivered. Just curious what ya'll think. I would rather get a refund, but I don't really care at this point. Just don't wanna piss away $100 of the combo deal on something I will never get.

I just called back to Firedog and the Indian chick advised me that the scheduling system is still down. I called this morning and it was then too. If its not up in the morning, I am fucking demanding my money back.

Why even ask TWW?

Call them, say you want your money back. If they say no, you can try to press the issue (which probably won't work, since they don't really have any money to give) or just tell them you want the calibration ASAP.

What's going on at Circuit City?

Quote :
"Will Circuit City stores continue to accept Circuit City gift cards?

Yes, customers holding Circuit City gift cards may redeem them at full value at our stores during the liquidation sales. Once the stores are closed and the company is out of business, the gift cards will have no value.

Are Circuit City's extended warranties affected by the liquidation?

No. Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans® (extended warranties) have been backed by third-party independent companies for more than 15 years and as a result, are not impacted by Circuit City's closing.

Currently, all Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans are fully backed by the Assurant Solutions companies. Assurant Solutions operates as Federal Warranty Service Corporation, Sureway, Inc., and United Service Protection, Inc. Assurant Solutions is part of Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), and its extended service contacts are backed by an Assurant insurance subsidiary rated A "Excellent" by A.M. Best Co.

How much will merchandise be marked down, and can customers negotiate prices for the merchandise?

There will be clearance pricing, but specific discounts are not being announced. All sale prices are at the discretion of the liquidator. Prices are non-negotiable and all adjustments must be approved by the liquidator's on-site managers.

What payment types will be accepted at the liquidation stores?

Stores in liquidation will accept cash, Circuit City gift cards and most credit cards. Personal checks will not be accepted. All sales are final.

Will Circuit City's price matching policy or the One Price PromiseSM apply during the liquidation sale?

Because the liquidation company is in charge of the sales at the closing stores, their policies are in force. So, One Price Promise does not apply during liquidation events, nor does the company's Unbeatable Price Guarantee. All sales are final.

What about returns and refunds?

Customers can return products they purchased prior to January 16 for a 14-day period for exchange or refunds. All other terms of return policy are in force.

When closing sales begin on or around January 17, 2009, all sales will be final.

Will delivery service be available for products purchased from liquidation stores?

No. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide delivery services for products purchased from liquidation stores.

Will Circuit City offer home theater installations during the closing sale?

Yes, we will continue to offer home theater installations during our closing sales.

Will Circuit City offer PC services and repairs at liquidation stores during the closing sale?

Services already underway at the liquidation stores will be completed promptly, but no additional jobs will be accepted at these stores.

Will car electronics installations be available at liquidation stores during the closing sale?

No new car installations will be offered.

Will Circuit City's extended warranties still be available on products purchased from liquidation stores?

Yes, we're making no changes to our Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans®. Coverage is national and purchases will still be protected just as they always were.

Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans® have been backed by third-party independent companies for more than 15 years and as a result, are not impacted by Circuit City's bankruptcy or liquidation.

Best Co.

What if a customer purchased products at one of the closing stores and the product needs service?

For products covered under the manufacturer's warranty, customers should call the manufacturer.

For products covered under Circuit City Advantage®, guests can call the toll-free number that is printed on the bottom of the product receipt."

Wow, that website came down pretty quick. its kinda sad seeing it shut down. when i was a kid i used to love going down there just to window shop electronics.

I can't say that I've had any regrets shopping there, and though I agree the reps were douchebags but from all the brick&mortar stores that I've purchased electronics from I'll be damned if I didn't buy from CC the most. they ran some pretty good deals every now and then, i just bought my hdtv and home theater system from there. however i will be getting my shit warrantied through squaretrade. looks like they're going to honor their city advantage plans, but i wouldnt take a chance on that shit.

oh, and fuck best buy.

Their sales associates are some of the worst sales associates I have encountered. There are two in particular that stick in my mind. I felt like they were off that badger commercial and they were disrespectful.

Yeah, when Winn Dixie close up shotp they sold everything, chairs, tables, shelves, commercial deli slicers, pallet jacks, adding machines, registers, the works. Me and jonnySim bought a bunch of folding chairs for like a buck a piece.

This is actually really sad - I know a lot of people hated Circuit City due to their workers and locations, but if its not evident already about the economy in trouble the shit hit the fan....this isn't good for any consumer either -- you'll notice best buys prices slowly climb or the lack of sales due to lack of competition.

I will truely miss circuit city - I've ALWAYS shopped here over best buy when I had the chance. This sucks....

On a side note -- I'd be cautious buying electronics, its all sales are final after the card swipes....disgruntled employees tend to sabatoge stuff like electronics
