Why is there an extra game to determine pool winner? Why don't they just call Venezuela the pool winner and USA the runner up? If both teams are already qualified for the semifinals, then playing an extra game makes no sense.

Giving the teams (especially relievers) extra rest, you clear the way for more exciting matchups in the semis and finals.

Japanese played dirty as hell.
2nd baseman put his knee on sliding Lee Y.K.'s face when he tried to steal 2nd base.
It shattered Lee's baseball cap front and back.

In previous game, the pitcher threw ball to Lee Y.K's head in purpose.

and one of the Japanese guy going 1st to 2nd base after a hit tried to grab Korea's 2nd baseman so he could mess up the throw to the 1st base.
