Geez, it's been two years and I'm still taking lessons and using Alfred's. I'm just now finishing the first book
Basically, I can play a few classical/modern classical pieces and a bunch of watered-down songs from the Alfred's book or similar ones. I can sight read the treble clef, and am getting better on the bass clef. I can recognize chords/patterns and am getting better at recognizing distances between notes. I know all of my major and minor scales and their flats and have learned an incredible amount about musical theory from my teacher.
Overall, I'm still enjoying it and it's been a wonderful experience that's supplemented my guitar and singing, but I thought/wish I would have been better by now, but you get what you put in. 10/2/2018 3:36:12 PM |
