im not reading this whole thread

my mantra is always

"you're never too busy to get what you want"

if someone isnt making time for you, they clearly aren't that into you.

end of story

If she were a guy this would be considered "changing his mind"
But since your girlfriend is (gasp) a girl...everyone gets up in arms about it.

If you feel like she's being disrespectful to you and lying to you, then drop her like a bad habit.

Otherwise, man up and talk to her about it.

If she guilt trips you then drop her like a bad habit.

If you bitch about this she'll resent you.

You need to step up your game when you're around her. Try being more fun around her.

But be sure to bag it, cause she might be cheating on you.

No...how about starting with the truth instead of being PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE

"{name}, I am having a little trouble with the fact that you told me you couldn't go out for snacks with me, but found time to go out with the caste for the night. I realize that it is important for you to bond with your castmates and that every girl needs a little fun in her life, but I feel like you blew me off. It hurt my feelings and made me feel insecure about our relationship. You have come to mean quite a bit to me, therefore I want to spend time with you. I don't mind when you go out without me, but it does bother me when you've already told me you were too busy to go out. Please explain why you chose to go out with your friends after you had already told me your night was full."

Put yourself in her shoes, you sound like a controlling/jealous prick.

second time within 3 months of dating? sketchy

seriously put my mantra to the test, think back to all the girls you liked and the ones you didnt

which ones did you go out of your way to hang out with? change plans or move things around, whatever it took to see them? and which ones did you blow off, leave hanging and string along?

why don't you ask her if she had a good time at Hi5?

or how about, "The other night, you said you were going to be too busy to go out for coffee after your rehearsal, and then you told me you were going to Hi5, I was hurt. I haven't seen you a lot lately and I wanted to hang out. Inviting you for coffee was my way of telling you that. If you didn't want to, you could have told me. I would have...hold on....my boys are on the other line...gotta go...bye."

If you want to bag a chick and keep her...you might want to think about it from a "chick" angle.
And the thread says "GIRLS, help me"...don't think he's looking for dumbass ideas from guys who couldn't handle this situation correctly either

if you're going to bring it up, then don't be passive aggressive about it. Call the bitch out about wanting to spend more time with coworkers than her boyfriend. If you try to tip-toe around the situation, she'll throw it back at you.

if you're going to bring it up, dont do it tonight. do it sometime tomorrow

you can let it slide but what happens when she does it again?

well you have a stronger case for one and also more reason to break up with her. without knowing anything besides the cold tone you made her side of the conversation sound and the interested in getting together way you sounded, i'd say shes taking you for granted-- 3 months is early, if you dont see something changing just end it and save yourself

I mean, if it were my gf, I would say that I don't feel like we've been hanging out much recently, and that I understand that her friendships in the theater are very important to her, but if she wants to make time for those people then she needs to be honest to me about what she's doing. Otherwise, I'm going to start with my crazy paranoia and think that something wrong is going on, and that I'd rather her be honest than think something was up.

Make sure she understands that if she wants to hang out with those people, that's okay. Just be honest, there's no crime in wanting to hang out with her girlfriends.

but my gf is pretty reasonable. except when she post stalks me.

also, if this hanging out at hi-5 business is what is specifically unsettling to you (in that she could be grinding on some anonymous cock) well, then my advice goes out the window. I can't stand a treacherous bitch.

you should probably just go out, have fun.. fuck it, lie to her sometime, and be like "hows it feel bitch?"

jk, but maybe don't sit around wondering why shes lying to you and just brush it off, maybe go out with the guys, give her a little space..

and yeah, im not a girl so I guess you weren't asking me, but I'd probably be like "what the hell? what happened to your work"

Why does he have to be the one to take the "truth" initiative?

She should have been honest to begin with...he shouldn't have to squeeze the truth out of her.

It's an all around problem.

I don't understand where this truth thing is coming in. How do you know she lied? I have been in a situation where I had a lot of work to do, but somebody asked me to do something with them and I felt obligated so I finished the work early. Its not like she said she had a church meeting and then fucked some random guy. She said she was busy and then she ended up going out with people that she probably knows better than you.

Well my first bit of advice was to dump her.
There's no reason to date someone for 3 months and have them blow you off repeatedly.

Maybe if the rest of you could actually put your "feelings" into words- you'd have slightly more successful relationships. I absolutely hate that about guys. You guys are all portraying her as a bitch who's looking to score on this guy behind his back. No one has given more than 2 seconds to the idea that she didn't realize getting coffee actually meant something to this guy and that she hurt his feelings.

there is that point, too.

could be that some shit came up, the stars aligned, and she went out and hung out with her friends and forgot all about your idea to chill. not going to win many brownie points from you, certainly, but she isn't taking it in all four holes, either.

Thank you TWWers for all your support this evening. I didn't think I would ever be able to say this but you guys really helped me out.

The problem was that she needed to go out and blow off some steam tonight, but not the way I could provide for her. She needed a light mood in the company of friends and felt like I was just going to be too serious and no help at all. I understand completely, I just wish she had been forward about it from the beginning.

We had a good long hour and a half conversation about our relationship and where it is going and where we want it to go, and realized that we were looking at things from very different point of views. Now that I understand better where she's coming from, I know better how to react in these situations. And she knows now to be more upfront about how she is feeling.

Just a quick word to the women out there...guys can't read minds. Most of us don't know right away what you are feeling, and its not because of a lack of sensitivity. If you just straight out say how you are feeling about this, that, and the other without it becoming whiny or bitchy, then things can work out a lot better for everyone in the end and we can spare ourselves of these misunderstandings.
