2/5/2009 1:23:40 PM
yeah but a dead cat in a tree is an eyesore, and the HOA might not be too happy with me.
2/5/2009 1:55:21 PM
I bet if you get a new one and start petting it your cat will get jealous and come down.
2/5/2009 1:56:17 PM
yes, bring over some new pussy.
2/5/2009 1:58:30 PM
have you tried a shotgun yet?I guess that would get her down.
2/5/2009 2:08:28 PM
HAR HAR HAR
2/5/2009 2:17:22 PM
the fucker is still up there... that makes it over 24 hours.
2/5/2009 6:16:17 PM
Poor kitty. I'm surprised he survived the cold, especially after getting hosed.
2/5/2009 6:18:49 PM
he lives outside so he's used to the cold... just sucks that he's cold AND stuck up in a tree.
2/5/2009 6:24:03 PM
i've tried just about everything... i might go ahead and call the fire department.
2/5/2009 8:27:31 PM
how high up is the bastard?
2/5/2009 8:29:08 PM
throw chicken wing bones at it
2/5/2009 8:58:44 PM
Is it beyond extension ladder range? Go rent a ladder from one of those equipment rental places (hell, you might could rent one from home depot).
2/5/2009 9:34:24 PM
2/5/2009 9:35:47 PM
throw rocks at it
2/5/2009 9:41:18 PM
poor kitty, I hope you get it down.
2/5/2009 9:42:04 PM
it is at least 50 feet up. good news is that he is pretty much at the top of the tree and can't climb any higher.bad news is that he isn't meowing much anymore.i have to work all day tomorrow from 7am till 10pm. (wrestling tournament)
2/5/2009 9:43:03 PM
2/5/2009 9:43:52 PM
survival of the fittest im afraid.let nature do its work.
2/5/2009 9:46:12 PM
the cat is still there. he isn't really making any sound anymore.
2/6/2009 11:38:41 PM
You're going to have to hire someone, man. That cat is officially too stupid to back it's way down.[Edited on February 7, 2009 at 12:16 AM. Reason : claws don't work going downhill]
2/7/2009 12:13:52 AM
2/7/2009 12:17:42 AM
Have you ever seen cat bones in a tree??
2/7/2009 12:19:40 AM
Haha, another cat story I have...my mom's cat was stuck up a tree for like a week once so they decided to cut down the tree. The tree is in the falling process and the cat leaps from that tree onto another one to stay there for a couple more days. Crazy cats.
2/7/2009 2:25:12 AM
This is what I don't understand about cat ownersWhy do you want a pet that requires your attention to care for it and keep it alive yet despises you, runs from you, and generally wants nothing to do with you in appreciation for your efforts it's like voluntarily adopting a teenager I don't get it
2/7/2009 2:40:09 AM
I had a cat once and we were nothing but nice to it. I come home from school one day and its being aggressive towards me so I get up on the rocking chair (back up onto it), it jumps a good 4 feet in the air towards me mouth open and I jump over it somehow (not sure how I kept my balance to jump off the chair).Well I run inside the house and next thing you know we are at the pound.
2/7/2009 3:09:50 AM
^^, ^^^^haha, true on all counts
2/7/2009 7:08:41 AM
for the record i don't really like cats either... that's why mine don't come inside. then again, I don't want them to die... mine are VERY social... this one is just dumb.
2/7/2009 8:41:19 AM
its still there?
2/7/2009 9:01:00 AM
yeah. stupid thing won't even attempt to come down.
2/7/2009 9:08:46 AM
pics or it isnt happeningmaybe you can shoot food at it with a slingshot or water balloon launcher. its an excuse to play with a slingshot either way
2/7/2009 9:17:50 AM
it found a way down! I don't know if it climbed down or fell down, but it's still alive.
2/7/2009 6:13:25 PM
its only "stuck" because you dont want it up therejust like its only erosion if your property is on the beachfrontthe cat aint stuck let it be
2/7/2009 7:41:26 PM
^well you are right that it is not stuck. it came down last night.but you are wrong... it was not up there because it wanted to go against my wishes.
2/7/2009 9:05:35 PM
you dont understand
2/7/2009 9:26:31 PM
mr mistoffelees syndrome
2/7/2009 9:28:17 PM
It really is just a lack of intelligence. The claws work great going up, but are useless coming down. Cats do, in fact, die in trees. Some pass out and fall. Vets see substantial fall injuries all the time.I'd imagine house cats are more prone to it since they don't have any climbing experience.
2/7/2009 9:39:47 PM
Sounds to me like the cat needed some alone time to think
2/7/2009 9:51:50 PM
too many haters on the page!! glad the kitty finally came down!
2/7/2009 10:10:10 PM
2/8/2009 4:10:44 PM
Honestly I would have called someone after the cat got sprayed with a hose. That throws all sorts of new variables into the survival/getting down situation, especially in the cold.On the other hand, I also would never have sprayed my cat with a hose. What were you thinking?
2/8/2009 4:54:59 PM
the internet people told me to do it.
2/8/2009 5:22:02 PM
so it was up there for about 2 days....
2/9/2009 12:47:07 PM
determine a harmonic of the tree and shake it at that frequency to fling the feline out[Edited on February 9, 2009 at 1:03 PM. Reason : oh, i see it came down... put it back in the tree and give my theory a shot, see if it holds water]
