US officials hastle foreigners to the full extent of their power coming in. Brazil officials hastle foreigners (except tourist cuz they don't have to go to Brazil officials) as much as they have power to do so.

did you see the carnivale parade and if so did you see the float with the giant bloody newborn baby hanging upside down, or the float with the weird cockroach people?

I did see one of the carnaval parades it was the top 6 schools and i did see the cochroach/bug costume people it was the wierdest ones... i don't think the bloody baby one made the top 6..

it is a sad state of comedy here all they have are silly prank shows that are funny only for a second and no stand-up comedy or comedy central and the president of Brazil is probably their best stand-up comedian, he does the short one liners in his interviews.

where i am in Brazil the Carioca Cup is a biggest deal here besides the World Cup of course. It is all the club teams from around Rio competing. Every sunday there is a game in Maracana and people watching it on TV and blowing air horns everytime there is a goal.
Haven't really kept up with the national futebol news besides the win over egypt and the US... which i am glad they won cuz that would have been a real awkward day of classes if they had lost.
