he probably suffered the concussion while lowering his shoulder and bull rushing a set miami defender after he took 6 steps without dribbling and then the refs called it an AND 1.

^ to be fair to him, a lot of the previous games, he hasn't drawn nearly as many fouls as he has the last few seasons. I think refs are finally seeing that people are standing in one spot and hansbrough is lowering the shoulder and being goofy. On the flip side, he is getting beat up a lot more in recent games than he used to because of it. I think this concussion is why the are considering using zeller's redshirt.

well he has the most fouls drawn per game in the country, by a healthy margin.

apparently this has changed in the last couple weeks and now he's number four in the country in fouls drawn per 40 mins.

but still looking at his numbers for the past four years:

2006 - 7.7 fouls per 40
2007 - 7.8 fouls per 40
2008 - 8.1 fouls per 40
2009 - 8.1 fouls per 40

so your claim is completely false. unless of course you mean in the very recent few games. and that may be the case. his avg has dropped a little recently. but overall he's getting just as many calls as ever.

^^It was a subjective opinion, but I still stand by it. I know in the last few games I've seen, he's been getting absolutely rocked, but the fouls aren't getting called. Sure he gets to the line, but not for the gimme shit that he's accustomed to.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but it'd be interesting to see something comparing the amount of touches/shots he's put this year compared to years passed. I don't think it's crazy to assume that --coming off a Player-of-the-Year year-- he's getting the ball a lot more ... meaning his chances of getting fouled are going up.
