I stopped using minefield after I failed miserably to get flash working in a 64bit. And I didn't even know ctrl W would close tabs, I just use my revolution's search button(middle mouse click).

i find my left hand is always on ctrl+w now and my right hand on the mouse

and yeah, browsing in 64bit doesn't make a bit (no pun intended) of difference imo
i tried that mozilla-x64-x86.com or whatever site but eventually i just went with the latest minefield trunk from mozilla's official site and i'm happy with it.

Adblock Plus
Download Statusbar
DownThemAll
Fission
Hide Menubar
Mouse Gestures Redox
Nightly Tester Tools
NoScript
Stop-or-Reload Button
Tab Mix Plus
URL Link
Xmarks

only have the vital extensions installed and speed is great.

i just miss the insanely fast initial load time of chrome vs. firefox

any reason firefox would be crashing on me whenever i try to close a PDF that is open in a window?

i think it's been happening about every time. I've tried restarting the computer and firefox

with an older version of adobe firefox would lag a lot when trying to close a pdf. this was resolved when i updated to adobe 8.x. as a workaround before then, i just kept adobe reader open so whenever i had a pdf open in firefox so that it didn't try to shutdown acrord.exe through firefox when closed a pdf as that seemed to be what was causing the issue.

i have it set to download all PDFs and then i open them manually through the download statusbar with a proper Acrobat Window instead of inside the browser

back when i used autopager it had a wizard for creating your own rulesets and you could click around on the page elements you wanted repeated

I got quite a few 'OH SHIT! Server Errors' but eventually got something kind of working, not perfect but got multiple pages

i eventually got tired of autopager anyway, havent done it for a while

Other than the ones already mentioned, I love vimperator. It allows browsing with only the keyboard, and is great for reducing RSI. If you're a fan of the VIM text editor, you'll like vimperator too

I've updated AutoPager to work with TWW! No more clicking between pages!

Current users should see the change within a day or so.

how much extra unneeded bandwidth would that cause on a 100 page thread?

It should only load a page ahead, not the entire thread. From a server perspective (TWW) it shouldn't be that much of an increase in B/W since this site runs light.

If a thread is loaded with mostly pictures, it'll definitely start to add up quicker.

Yeah, it works perfectly. Only complaint is that it also works on the subforum pages (ie, chit chat, tech talk) which isn't really where I need to use it.

Looks like the settings only work for http://www.thewolfweb.com but not for the other 3 possibilities that you can use (http://thewolfweb.com, http://www.brentroad.com and http://brentroad.com)

dhcpme, would you be willing to update the other 3 sites or post the instructions here so we can do it for the other 3? Thanks.

I've updated AutoPager to work on thewolfweb.com and brentroad.com with, and without the 'www'

It may take a day or two before the changes take effect so hold tight! Enjoy!

I kinda wish there was a way to get autopager to go back and fill in the previous pages so you could scroll up and see the replies at the bottom of the page. That's probably too much to ask for and it would probably be more annoying than useful, but it would be a cool option.

Anybody else notice that since autopager started working, when you reply to a 2+ page thread the focus gets stolen from the "Reply to Topic" box? On one page threads it's fine, but when you hit reply on 2 page threads the focus goes somewhere else. I'm assuming it has something to do with the scrip working it's magic on the preview panel on the bottom, but it doesn't actually load a 2nd page down there.

Also when you search for something on TWW and there's more than 2 pages of search results, after it loads the 2nd page searching for something else gives you the oh shit error message.

As cool as autopager is for some sites, I think I'm gonna disable it for TWW for the time being. It's pretty rare that I click on page 1 of a thread and read through them all. 90% of the time I just click on the last page of a thread anyway.

So I disabled autopager for this site, but it still steals the focus from the reply box when replying to multi-page threads. Disabling it globally solves the issue, but I don't want that.

Is this happening to anyone else? Anybody know how to remove the code for this website?

any mac users know how to get the icon of the search engine to show up in the top right hand corner? it's trivial, but it's annoying when I don't know if I'm searching google or wiki.

In case anyone cares (and judging from the complete lack of responses, it doesn't look like it's likely) if you upgrade to the newest version of autopager(Version 0.5.1.3 Pre-release) the stolen focus on multi-page thread bug looks like it's been fixed.

You can install it from here.

Here's a list of the add-ons I use:

AdBlock Plus
ChatZilla (IRC client in Firefox, adios mIRC)
Download Statusbar (puts my downloads in a nifty bar, adios downloads window)
DownloadHelper (I can now grab youtube videos, streaming audio from last.fm, etc.)
Fire.fm (lets me play last.fm stations right from Firefox - paired with DownloadHelper, my music library has grown tremendously)
Fission (page load progress bar in the address bar)
FoxyTunes (since iTunes' mini-player is very bulky, I needed something compact to control my locally stored music)
Gmail Space (uses gmail account as file storage space; basically, FTP from within my email account)
Greasemonkey (user script manager)
Mouse Gestures Redox (go back, forward, or into a new tab via right-click + directional drag; also allows me to resize pictures/text easily)
PDF Download (on clicking a link to a PDF, I can choose to view as PDF or HTML, or download it)
Tab Buttons (added "open new tab" and "re-open last closed tab" buttons)

Redundant, IMO.

You can easily add mouse gestures to open links in a new tab and reopen the last closed tab eliminating the need for the Tab Buttons plug-in, FYI.
