^ Wow! Never heard that before. I only have a toilet one and a big one in front of my sink. They are tan and match my carpet in my room. No big deal. And I'd PREFER to have one in front of my toilet, instead of having my feet on NOTHING while I'm pissing or seeing the linoleum cut out away from the toilet. How are they nasty?? As long as you don't miss the bowl while you're pissing (being a girl that SHOULD BE impossible) and it's called a WASHER MACHINE. The toilet lid covers ARE a lil' much though.I slide it to the left (away from toilet) ONLY b/c I have a toilet rug thing down and I use that as my stepping out mat/rug. The one I bought for the shower was too big so I had to put it in front of my sink. [Edited on February 21, 2009 at 3:51 PM. Reason : .]

^^ I'd rather just pick up a rug and throw it in the washing machine than get down on my hands and knees to scrub the floor.

i just hate toilet rugs. i think they look seriously old school. i have a tile floor and it isn't that hard to clean. how dirty do you people's bathroom floors get ugh, toilet rugs ftl. especially their matching toilet seat covers.i think i am just adverse to most forms of carpet in general.this is what we are talking about, yes?[Edited on February 21, 2009 at 3:55 PM. i don't ever put a towel in the hamperi leave that shit on the rack until i do laundry
2/21/2009 3:58:34 PM
i take mine off the rack too when i wash them. i guess i could put it on the rack to dry and THEN put it in the hamper but that seems like a lot of work. i feel like usually you dry off, toss it in the hamper, where it stays damp and germy and icky.

^^^ that one looks shitty, but they don't ALL look shittyAnd just a question. Is that a toilet rug in a public bathroom or some shit? That tile is seriously industrial.[Edited on February 21, 2009 at 4:01 PM. Reason : a]

oh well this is what i think of when i think toilet rug and what i am referring to. i haven't really investigated the more stylish forms. i finally have a cute bathroom with real tile (it is old, but still cute). so i like to appreciate the tile on the daily. plus, my bathroom is kinda too small for one even if i DID want one.^ahahahaha it kinda looks like it doesn't it? i dunno just a random picture i found when i googled toilet rug.AHHHHHHH its the matching set!!![Edited on February 21, 2009 at 4:03 PM. you're not truly ballin' unless you have the matching carpeted tank lid cover to complete the set

^ badass

Fuck that. I'll be damned if I'm getting down cleaning some tile (especially with just having back surgery...helllllll nah). Thank god for linoleum (the ppl who have carpet in their bathrooms/kitchens are FUCKING IDIOTS). And I have the rugs down so it doesn't get damaged from all the water from the shower. Washer/washing Machine is your best friend in this situation. If you have the matching rug(s), toilet lid cover and bowl lid cover and matching trash can and shower curtain....ok...YES...that shit is OUTDATED and needs to GO. But a simple rug to trap the excess water from the shower (and so you don't bust your ass like I've done before) is acceptable.Just like I have a clear suction cup mat in my shower now...FINALLY. Fell one good time, busted the shit out of my head, and DEFINITELY can't afford to fall now with my back problems. Call it 70s if you want...I call it SAFETY. i think most people refer to them as washing machines...]]

Toilet rug: Good. Keeps my feet comfortable when deucing.Toilet cover: Bad. Catches urine.

^^ do you pee with the lid closed?

^ Well...no. But the fibers on the end hang over the edge and touch the seat.

^^ That's too much tile for me. I hate hate hate OLD tile. Now, tile like these (including backsplashes) are INCREDIBLE!!! DO WANT!!!!
2/21/2009 4:35:59 PM
yea i love the new tile like that toomy bathroom isn't like old 80s beige octagon tile or anything. my condo is a "historic place" so there is some original stuff still in it from like the early 1900s and the tile is one of the things they try to keep "historic" or whatever. i think it is kinda cute...it is like this style (like old NYC apartment style):not my bathroom, but pretty similar. w/o the painted wood paneling wall stuffs. i mean new tile like that is hot. but i don't mind mine i think it is cute because it fits the style of my condo. but yea, 80s tile, like so, is a NO GO:
