You all are too optimistic about the NCAAs. The way that NCSU has played this year, we'll be lucky to make it to the NIT. Especially with how wild the ACC is and how anything can happen. I remember last year when only like 4 ACC teams got selected for the NCAA, Va Tech went to the NIT, and Wake finished in the middle of the conference with a decent record and didn't go ANYWHERE.

I thought, "Wow, at least we sucked it up last year and KNEW we weren't going anywhere. I would hate to be Wake fan and feel like I got ripped off."

^^^ we have youth at the point. That is the key to closing out games. As someone else said, those OT games earlier could have gone either way. You can't stop curry from doing what he did. you can't stop that marquette guy for creating an incredible shot. That UF game was just close and we lost. The VT game I understand your pain. However, to even be talking about the postseason at this point in the season is great.

^^ i'd rather feel ripped off honestly. It's like people saying they'd rather lose big than lose a close game. That's just crazy.

BC has the easiest schedule and will probably finish 9-7. (all assuming we win every game left). VT is not making it with that shedule and could easily finish 6-10. Miami is at 5-8 and if we beat them, they'll go 7-9. Maryland will probably lose 2 or 3 and finish around 7-9.

The great thing here is that we probably control our ncaa destiny because of the amount of these teams we have left.

Wake was 17-13 with a 7-9 record in ACC play and lost to FSU in the first round.

^^You honestly don't think a 9-7 record in the ACC, and finishing the year with a 5 game winning streak (winning 8 of the last 10) would equate "bubble team?" Especially considering how shitty some of the other conferences have been this year?

It probably won't happen, but I don't think it'd be a stretch to think we'd be on the bubble should we win out.

there sure are a lot of IFs being thrown around in this thread when we basically have to win out to get to the NCAAs. That task starts tonight ON THE ROAD against the #13 team in the nation. You should know by now that Wake Forest is a completely different team when playing at home. As was said before, IF we win this game, then we can start speculating.

We can win this game. When wake wants to, they can be incredible. They also can suck. They scored 90 something pts against duke, but gave up over 100. They also are the only ACC team to chalk up a loss to GT. We've also already beaten Wake this year. Will be a good game. Plz not to choke away big lead.
