DAMN.
Holy crap, that is not how I want to go out. Sorry for that guy's family.
Hopefully people will use this poor kid's death as a sign to drive carefully. Motorcycle accidents make me cringe.

Plus, I feel like I have a giant target on my back that the cops are going to look even closer at. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior on a motorcycle nor in a car." |
Agreed. I've never been one to do that--I've always preached that if you're going to really ride aggressively, do it away from everyone else. I've blown speed limits all to pieces, but I've never been one to do it near other vehicles (for the safety of everyone concerned).3/10/2009 4:51:35 PM |

that's not the same as swerving in and out through traffic, continually passing people and never slowing to anywhere near the same speed as traffic. 3/11/2009 9:29:19 AM |

^i hope you and people like you realize you are putting other people's lives at risk even though you are on a motorcycle and even though you think you have everything under control
i wish cops would actually take people who speed like that straight to jail 3/11/2009 5:27:40 PM |

you must've missed the 50 times i mentioned that i ease up when other vehicles are around (for the safety of everyone concerned)
and no, you really don't wish that cops would take more people to jail just for speeding. if that started becoming commonplace, you'd just see more people running away at REALLY high speeds and actually putting people at risk
and again, i don't like reckless idiots either. that said, until you go spend some time in the saddle of a sportbike, you frankly don't know what you're talking about. it's so different from a run-of-the-mill passenger car that you have no concept whatsoever.
