I can certainly blame him for costing me one job offer. If he didn't go and step on the DoD's nuts about cutting back on funding, the civil servant positions for some 60 engineers at the Nuclear Engineering department at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard would've still been available and I would have a job that paid well with decent benefits.

Instead I'm hoping to hear back from a small company that pays 33% less with much worse benefits.

I don't blame him for the overall economy being bad though. I fucking hope this 1.8 trillion dollar deficit gamble ends up paying off, though. What a fucking pain in the dick it would be if that ended up being a waste.

its shit like this that is making him look fail...everyone and their mom knew those estimates were for shit when they came out, but they try to sell that to the american public...yeah right i'm sure these new figures are accurate though...

its sad that the best idea is an aggregator bank but there isnt the political will to do it right now cause nationalization is such a dirty word! even fucking lindsey graham says it might be needed...come on obama what are you waiting for?

gov takes over toxic assets, banks get better, gov offers ppl like me houses on the low, market starts to recover, etc etc etc

Obama isn't to blame, but he sure as hell isn't helping anything. It's pretty goddamn hard to have a positive outlook on wall street or on main street when you're worried the government is just throwing the constitution out the window.

I really thought that Obama was above this sort of scapegoating AIG bullshit, and would be human enough to point out that what's due is due. But as they say, actions speak louder than words.
