i get the first two.. but the last one? really isn't that like saying money twice? like a girl would go for some guy with a doctorate vs some guy with a bachelors if they made the same amount. i guess bragging you have a doctorate might have some benefit.

i mean money and security are prob things to THINK about when getting married. like if you both don't have jobs or money, maybe put off the wedding? but to marry just for that, yea...it annoys me too. and the education thing is just dumb. but i guess that is why they are marrying for it.

I think innately those are qualities we look for in a mate.
Who wants a partner that doesn't contribute?
Also you relate to people from your own background. I don't think I could date seriously who didn't go to college.

I should have clarified... I was talking about women who marry solely for that because they don't make the effort to achieve those things on their own. not women who want to marry other men because they are equal in those fields as well. Like gold diggers but dunno the term for it.

I read about this a while back. There was a research study done that showed people who earned a graduate degree were most likely to get married to another person with a graduate degree. I think most people are naturally attracted to people of the same education level.
