and I don't think it's just "a certain kind of man" who can easily be away from kids: the kids shouldn't have to suffer just because he could

but regardless of how I may feel, I'm not going to crucify anyone who wants to leave their family behind to serve: it's their choice, and I'm sure it's a hard one anyway
