Same song and dance would be great if he just rapped, and quit with the stupid whatever fuckin accent he uses now. It's so annoying.

2 bonus tracks just leaked

Careful what you wish for

and

My Darling

Careful what you wish for is crazy. its a serious song. starts off with like a news report about proof and obie trice getting shot, and how eminem has wen't into hiding. then the first verse he starts rapping about his career and all his albums.. he drops a really crazy line though

"encore just didnt have the caliber to match it, i guess enough time just ain't passed yet, a couple more years and that shit will be illmatic, and 8 years later i'm still at it"

i think he lost his mind on that, encore was terrible, it will not ever be illmatic. lol

pretty good song.

My darling is a little more dark. he raps back and forth with what is supposed to like the devil or something? it reminds me of those old dmx songs "DAMIEN".

i didn't know he's been doing that for some time now

i haven't listened to him since marshall mathers lp

Must be the Ganja, Beautiful, Underground, Bagpipes from Baghdad, and Deja Vu are what I listen to.

I usually won't skip Hello, Same Song and Dance, or Old Time's Sake though.

yeah Deja Vu is probably my favorite track on the album

and the "accent" that ppl like to complain about isn't on every track of the album, its on a few diff parts at random times, but its not that bad. theres only a very select few where its blatantly obvious.

but people like to hate, so oh well

I actually enjoyed this album; after hearing that horse shit single "We Made You" I was prepared to dislike Relapse. I really like "Beautiful," and also the bonus track, "Careful what you wish for."

^^there goes credibility. Really, possibly a 9?? If this is a 9 to you, the Marshall Mathers LP better be a 16.

I'm not ready to compare it to Marshall Mathers LP or The Eminem Show, but I like this album for the most part. Picked up 2 weekends ago, first listen wasn't all that impressed with the lyrical content (he really doesn't have anything to say that is "new"), but damn if some of these songs didn't grow on me. Its getting steady rotation...

Same Song and Dance
Stay Wide Awake
Beautiful
Deja Vu
Bagpipes from Baghdad
Old Times Sake
Must be the Ganja

this is probably a 4 for me, maybe a 5. Really not enjoying it hardly at all. Theres probably 7 tracks that I enjoy listening to out of what, 20? Glad I didn't buy it. The first 2 singles were absolutely terrible, so even at a 4 I actually enjoy it more than I thought I would

^i agree with your ratio of good songs but it should be noted that 5 of those 20 tracks are skits. So 7 good songs out of 15 isn't too shabby for a major release that you know is going to have some "filler" and pop junk on it...just saying. I'd give it a higher score than a 4 though. 6.5-ish maybe. Point is I think its better than Encore, and better than average.

Eminem has so much potential, so it's hard to watch him make an album where he still is forcing this shock rap attitude. I know that's what made him blow up, but that stuff ("OMG can you believe he actually said that!!!111") isn't the reason that I listen to him.

OK, total flip-flop from previous post...

I'll give it a 6 after listening to it a few times. I personally think Bagpipes is his best song as well. I do like Beautiful, Medicine Ball, and Must Be the Ganja. Stay Wide Awake was pretty good too. I couldn't get with songs like My Mom, Hello, and Crack a Bottle (hate that song). Other than that, I don't really listen to it half the time.
