I wouldn't say I feel obliged, but I think that would make a difference for me in regards to a sport. For example, I don't give a damn about baseball and I don't understand how people find it exciting, but if say Raleigh were to get an MLB team, I would probably take at least a casual interest in them and go to some games. I think a part of that depends on how much you care about or have pride in the place you live.
