Some astounding facts about the largest star known, the VV Cephei:

- If centered at where the Sun is centered, it would reach Saturn! (and Saturn is 10 times as far from the Sun as Earth is)
- If placed next to the Sun, it would reach Uranus (amazing in itself that Uranus is twice as far from the Sun as Saturn is even though it is the next planet)
- nearly 7 BILLION Suns could fit inside it
- 275 THOUSAND TRILLION Earths could fit inside it

Light would take the times given below to go around the following bodies:

Earth: 1/7 sec
Jupiter: 1.5 sec
Sun: 15 sec

it is about 15% bigger in diameter (about 3 billion km) than VV Cephei, and light would take nearly 9 hours to go around it.

something even more astounding:

while both of those stars are about 8 BILLION times as voluminous as the Sun, they are just 30-40 times as massive the Sun!
