you obviously went with a low end unit. the flux capacitor is where the real money is

well if it is just the capacitor that shouldnt be too hard to install yourself. On my ac it was held in place by 2 screws.

yesterday I had to turn it on. I may have had it on some random afternoon during the warm spell in February, but this house has virtually no insulation and the living room faces south so it heats up very quickly once the sun gets up. It can be 80 in here and 60 outside, but the back of the house may be 65.
