BigMan157, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for new opening all around. You know, just to be safe. We think this is going to be the last round of layoffs because this brings us down to the number of employees that we had before we lost CSAR-X and VH-71 (about 1000 people). I think I should be relatively safe due to the same reasons as before. There are only 3/3000ish people that do what I do at my facility, with me being one of them. More than that, I'm currently doing the work of 1.5 people, as is everyone else in my department...I just say that to mean I have work, and I'm not charging idle work packages.

In the unlikely event that I do get laid off, my manager told me not to sweat it...that he would be able to transfer my skill set to just about any facility....though it may not be someplace that I necessarily want to go...i.e., Palmdale, Ca
