Problem with U. Oaks and its counterparts is that, even if you're not on the first floor, there is a window that is not up in the air (in order to give the master bdrm a window, they put one right next to the front door facing the walkway). We lived there (1140 actually) on the 3rd floor in '99-'01 and had someone bust in that window to get in (though it was not a robber but a drunk dude who was at the wrong building, LOL)

My cousin and I live here, dbhawley also stays at this location.

My cousins mother and my father both have ownership of it.

so I guess technically my cousins Uncle does own it...but he was never mentioned in this thread.

UPDATE:
Finally talked to the detective assigned to our case. He said there have been two similar break-ins within a half mile of our house. They have several leads in those cases.

Also one of our neighbors told the detective that they saw a black male walking around the back of our apartment (where the break-in occurred) around the time of the break-in.

UPDATE:

i got my insurance money back about a week ago...$900 whole dollars.

the detective called us yesterday and said they made an arrest in our case. nothing recovered though.
