^^ It was obviously a mandalorian chick, they were big back then. The Mandalorian wars had just taken place.

As for the Sith leader, he reminded me more of Malak than Vader.

I see where you're coming from. You even have the token Twi'lek (I had to look that word up). The Star Wars universe really doesn't get that creative with their characters anymore. It could be for several reasons:

-People just can't come up with new stuff
-Familiarity sells, and its all a marketing decision
-The person in control of the SW universe stifles creativity.

the comic book nerd comment was mainly because of the condescending tone of "if you knew anything about star wars..." which sounded like something that character would say, not because he knows stuff about the star wars universe. i, too, played those games, and it's my understanding that "proper sith" were the actual race of sith, not just the dark jedi who decided to use the title

I played SWG since beta and for a long time until they let anyone and everyone be jedi's. It was awesome until that point even the expansion pack was awesome. But I definitely did no combat haha...I was a doc with one char. and I made armor on another so i spent most of my time excavating different planets for rare materials that i needed and moving harvesters around and crafting armor. Mainly because i loved the economy side of the game so it felt like i was playing a MMO tycoon game.

Apparently it's completely voiced.

Also, BEU is exactly right. The Sith look exactly like the Empire. Not just the fighters and capital ships, but the symbol, uniforms, and titles ("grand moff"). Unfortunately I guess nobody told Bioware that the Empire was born from the Republic, so if anyone should look like the Empire it's them.

You can always say that sidious modeled the empire after the old sith era.

But that is being really lazy.

But, again, Lucas wouldn't let anyone start making a believable history to the starwars universe.

I cannot wait until someone in 30 years does a good starwars movie without the skywalkers, post ROTJ.

They have recognized long before the old republic games came out that the starwars universe stagnet technology. In that its basically all the same regardless of the passage of time.

The thing that bugs me is that you have all this expanded material on the star wars universe from the dozens of books published before the most recent 3 movies. You even have some back story on the advances of technology before hyperdrive.

But then the new movies and games come along and just shit on everything.

I mean, in 4000 years you can make a lot of shit up to explain how technology regresses and all this bullshit, but I mean they are not even trying.

They say:
"4000 years in the past

Yeah the thing i most enjoyed about WoW was raiding, yes i understand that not everyone wants to set a schedule to get 25 people together to do something for 4 hours... but considering the wow market i'd say the majority of people are okay with that leading aspect of gameplay. The videos they've shown of flashpoints (instance ) have all seemed to only be feasible with 2-4 players.

I love the depth of MMOs. I hate the people. If I can co-opt the entire storyline with a real life friend or two, it'll be the perfect game.

^^ Theres a difference between an online game and an MMO.

The more people involved the more complex bosses / pvp type things can become. Idk theres just a dynamic in wow that revolves around getting 25 people to synchronously do something that i really enjoyed.

So after watching all the previews and such Im pretty stoked. Got my old Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast cd out and playing that again, and noticed theres a Jedi Academy also, but 2003 like outcast, anyone know where I can get Academy cheap? Dont think I played it.
